The Rising Sun

The location was perfect. The staff were friendly and the room was clean.

Our room was above the bar, which was very noisy.

Everything! The Rising Sun was very centrally located in St Mawes. It had great facilities. Our sea-view room was beautifully decorated. There was a fridge in the room. Our bathroom was spacious and had a powerful shower. Breakfast was delicious and lovely. All staff we encountered were very friendly and professional. Thank you, all.

Nothing really. The price for three nights with sea views was eye-wateringly expensive! But that is Cornwall for you!

Comfy bed. Nice decor. Clean and friendly staff

We didn’t get to room until about 10.30pm. There was a group of people outside that were chatting loud for quite some time which was annoying when trying to sleep. Otherwise it was good.

Beautiful location, the room was large and comfortable, very clean. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Thoroughly recommend.

Lovely room.

Staff were quite brittle and unfriendly. When we arrived there was no hello/welcome by the bar staff that I had approached and we were referred to as “check ins”. Jack was the only friendly member of staff who we came across.

Lovely pub, great food, nice atmosphere, fantastic location.

Not much, sadly just that the room could have had more attention on being cleaned. Dust everywhere it seemed and loads of hair had congregated around the sink legs

We loved all the extra niceties in the room, from shortbread to dry robes! Coffee machine, Dyson fan, dog goodies, OS map, and lovely toiletries. Fresh milk and a mini bar. The breakfast was delicious too!

We were woken at 2am by the fire alarm and all had to vacate our rooms!! They weren’t sure why but suspected someone was smoking 🙄

Delicious breakfast. Delightful doggie bag with ball and treats for my dog. Handy parking. Comfortable bed

Slightly noisy room at the back of the hotel as window open as very warm.
