Scimiscià 2-bedroom Apartment with AC

The size of the apartment was great - we loved having a washing machine & hanging our clothes out to dry. The room was clean and instructions were clear. The beds were comfy and the team was extremely responsive when I had a question.

The location was a bit far from town leading to 15 minute walks to/from breakfast/dinner each night. Outside of that - the place was great. It was a lot of stairs but they were up-front with that so we knew what we were getting into.

Everything was exactly as described.

Great location to the center of town, metro, and the beach.

Multiple rules that would cost extra money if not followed. One rule was inconsistent (one place in book said take out glass another place said take out all trash).

This was a fabulous respite from a packed/hot trip through other parts of Europe. It’s clean, nice, all devices work well and was super easy to get to from the train station. We loved walking from one side of Monterosso to the other and had a great day at the beach. The beds were comfortable and the A/C worked great (unusual in Europe.) The snacks were also a welcoming touch. Because it’s on the other side from where the restaurants and activities are, it’s really quiet at night.

As you will see from the many reviews, the unit is on the 4th floor (which after climbing up the hill felt like 8 flights of stairs.) Also, this was our first stay in Italy so the need to leave “city tax” in exact change was a little confusing to us. Also, the long list of rules and “fees” you will pay for violating them felt a bit unwelcoming. The A/C unit was not working when we first got there but they fixed it the next morning. It’s on the opposite side from where most of the restaurants and activity is.
