Madison Square

It looks cute when you first walk in. It’s sparse but the decor is okay. It looks time worn, but that’s not a problem. But it pretty quickly became apparent there is a cockroach infestation. I even found one in a kitchen drawer. I will put up with a lot from a property as I travel extensively for work, but pests are not something I can abide. Didn’t have anywhere else to go for the night as the money was already spent (I am on business), and I really only needed it for a few hours to sleep. But I absolutely wouldn’t have stayed long term.

A wonderful stay... my best compliment WE ADDED A 2ND NIGHT. Not the "glam" of a $700/night Vegas honeymoon suite... but MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE! BEST HOTELS.COM recommendation, ever. Particularly after some doozy/disasters!

We stayed at the Madison as part of our first time visit to Palo Duro Canyon. I was a bit reluctant to book based on other reviews mentioning issues with their check in code, but I was so pleased with the check in process because there were no lines, or papers to sign, or elevators to fight with. I called the customer service number the day prior to check in to be sure things were going to go as expected and received a very friendly and professional answer on the first ring. My access code was in my e-mail the morning of check in just as promised. I couldn’t have asked for a better accommodation. The property owners have situated the apartments so perfectly and hospitably — like they actually care and want you to be there. The amenities were relevant and generous. I won’t try to name them all. There were cute little WiFi password plaques in the main area and rooms. A basket of complimentary snacks.There is a full size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven, and smart televisions in all rooms. The entire place was so clean and comfortable. This will be our spot when we make our return trips.

It was good but the couch wasn’t in very good shape.

Location is right next to I-40 which makes it quite loud. Beds were not the greatest, but it has a great kitchen and the location was very convenient for our trip.

Awesome place! This is our stopping place while traveling across the country. Love it here!!

This is my second time booking. We loved it the first time, and really wanted to like it, but it is a little tired this time. A mattress was saggy and uncomfortable on one side, as was the case for the sofa. Toilet barn doors need repairs, one pillowcase had a ripped seam, found a used cartridge in the coffee maker, fridge water filter had a red light, indicating it needed to be replaced. Good thing we brought some water. One counter stool was loose and rickety, floor was dusty, one bedside lamp bulb was out so I replaced it with a living room light bulb, the back area was not cleared of dog droppings so we had to go to the park near Amarillo college. It is close to the highway and was quiet last time we stayed, but it’s a lot noisier for some reason for the room facing the highway and my kids couldn’t sleep well.

Never received my key code for the door. Tried contacting host numerous times and received zero communication. I ultimately ended up staying elsewhere unfortunately.

This place was extraordinary. It was very well priced, clean, renovated, well equipped with basics, and the property owner communicated very well. It had easy access to the freeway and readily available parking. Would definitely stay here again if in Amarillo in the future.
