The Old Coastguard House

Great location opposite the beach, a 10 minute walk to the town centre and lots of space. The upstairs living room has a great view of the beach and the downstairs living room leads out to the garden with a dining table and BBQ. Two well appointed kitchens. Anne could not have been more helpful.

It's an old property which we liked, and we appreciate that its proximity to the sea means that there are maintenance challenges, but there was quite a lot of damp at the front which led to paint peeling off the wall. This was worse in the single bedroom and one of the double bedrooms on the ground floor. It was disappointing that the paint that had peeled off the wall in the single bedroom on the ground floor near the bed had not been at least vacuumed up. The window in the upstairs living room stuck open at the top and we couldn't close it when we left.

The old coastguard house is a brilliant house for a party of 9 people. Has everything you need for a wonderful stay. Very cozy

I didn't like the noise the downstairs toilet made every time you flushed the toilet. I think the outside up keep of the house could have been better, first impressions

upstairs bathroom shower water only came out very hot and while in use water came out in the entrance courtyard floor . large bins outside to put rubbish in as the non recycling bin was not emptied and half full at the beginning of the stay .
