The food is excellent, and the gardens beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are VERY beautiful and historic. The birding was excellent which kind of surprised me given the location. It is a wonderful place to spend a week in a relaxing environment.

No one speaks English. This is a problem if you don't speak Spanish. The water is bad, but for rural Colombia that has to be expected. It is in a remote location (very beautiful remote location though). As is true in Colombia in general, there is no heating in the rooms (other than a fireplace) even though it is a cool location.
