"RELAXING LIKE YOU ARE AT HOME"

10.0

It was one of the most relaxing vacations so far. Sitting out on the front porch in the morning with coffee and at night with a drink was wonderful. The food that Kally made was outstanding!!!! WE WILL BE BACK!!

"Wonderful Couples Retreat"

10.0

We just spent the last few days at this beautiful historical boutique hotel in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee. Yes, the bed was very comfortable, the water pressure in the warm shower was awesome, and the internet speed was perfect (three of our must haves), but the highlight was the breakfast and dinner menu; sweet cream crepes with sweet potato hash browns, wagyu beef hamburger with garlic mashed potatoes, quinoa and butternut squash, Mongolian beef, and so on. We are a carnivore-vegetarian marriage and both of us came away satisfied. They also have mineral baths and a variety of therapeutic tables to experience. The hotel is just over an hour from Nashville and Bowling Green, KY so we took an afternoon to visit the National Corvette Museum. Bringing some friends back next year.

"Like coming home after a long absence."

10.0

Debbie and Dennis make Amour shine like a diamond. I've stayed multiple times over the years for business and pleasure and the experience has been wonderful every time. I love the history, the charm, the quiet, the food, and most of all the warm hospitality. Oh, and Debbie's molasses cake is bound to start a riot if supply runs short! It's been a while since my last visit, but I'm hoping to go back very soon and introduce the new member of my family to this lovely place and it's loving family.

"Hospitality is what makes this a wonderful experience"

6.0

Spent the weekend just relaxing and enjoying the company of friends including the owners/staff. Wonderful breakfast & dinner served family style with enough to feed an army each meal. The staff were very accommodating with requests for extra card tables or ice or glasses. And the most wonderful touch was a snowflake note slipped under the door each morning letting us know that carafes of fresh coffee were waiting in the hallway. The weather was cold & miserable outside but we were snug as bugs in our rooms. Love this place and will return.

"Delights Abound! "

8.0

In the words of our hostess, "Red Boiling Springs has a lot to do for a little town with nothing going on". Debbie is part of the charm here. Very much happiest when taking care of guests. Always dressed in a cloche hat, scarf and vest: in costume. The house is festooned with lady's hats as well as antiques. Built in 1924, it was RBS' first brick building. It has changed hands several times, with Debbie and Dennis capturing it 11 years ago. It has been part of the 'healing waters' movement for the last 160 years. In the tradition of Kellog's health movement, and Saratoga, there are sulphurous mineral baths for guests. Dinner is an inexpensive option that is highly recommended: 1) it is home made Southern, and 2) there's not much else in RBS to eat. Breakfast filled up what remaining room we had. Biscuits, chocolate gravy (yes...), white gravy, hash browns, scrambled eggs, potato cakes, and fresh fruit sent us home without need to stop for lunch! Prices were very reasonable. Two suites on the front and have separate access to the capatious porch with a view of the creek. Nearly all of the streams in this area run clear with pebbled bottoms: none of the turbid, silty waters found elsewhere in the South and Midwest. Entertainment was plentiful. The Armour has live music on occasion. Speaking of music, there is a museum-quality "baby grand upright" piano in the front sitting area. You can touch this one, although not for long, in that it needs tuning. The library is welcoming with the kind of reads you'd like for vacation. It abounds in popular authors, and the hotel is sprinkled with love seats, coffee pots, and Saturday Evening Posts. The room was a little dark and was a little short on electric outlets. The shower was adequate but tended to the warm side rather than really hot. The bed was comfy and old-fashioned, with a net canopy at the head. Overall, a surprising and delightful B&B!

"Wonderful place to relax!"

2.0

We got a two room suite that had a door out to the second story porch, which was nice. Dennis and Debbie treated us like royalty and she would sometimes join in the conversation at breakfast and dinner that they cooked for us. The food was great with generous portions. We stayed three nights, which was a nice escape from the much larger town we live in. There is a walkway across the street which follows a creek, a nice little hike. The hotel is beautifully decorated inside with lots of antiques; it's like stepping back in time.

"Delightful hotel"

10.0

My husband and I stayed one night in this delightful hotel. It takes you back to days long gone. We did not have the opportunity to eat any of their home made meals since we arrived too late and had to leave at dawn, but there was coffee right outside our room to take with us. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a hotel from the past.

"Just what the doctor ordered"

10.0

My wife and I just took a chance on this hotel. My sister had just passed and we needed a place to go for awhile. When we first got there we were a little suspect, but once we met dennis and debbie we just felt at home. It wasn't just the great food but the way they treated you. We both spent hours talking with Deb sharing thoughts and life concerns. What wonderful people and what a great stay.
