Aloft by Marriott Anchorage

Front Desk service is very unprofessional especially the afternoon shift Agent. My family were very disappointed when we encountered this kind of service. They are "Racist" in my view. Because when our family requests to have our room extended. The Agent that was there at the time gave us a sarcastic tone. But when a couple that were not from our ethnicity. She served them with a smile and soft tone. This was my family's first time as we were trying to enjoy the Holidays before we go back home. We hope these Staff will know how to serve incoming and outgoing Guests fairly.

The beds are a little to close for comfort

Great hotel in Anchorage’s Midtown, clean spacious rooms, good showers, comfy beds, some of the rooms have noise machines which are great for reducing the noise from the heating/AC which can be a little loud when it kicks in. Stayed here 5 or 6 times usually for about 5 nights. Recently started taking the breakfast which is free if you have Platinum or above status with Bonvoy and it’s a reasonable offering for North America. Staff are friendly, welcome bag of goodies is a nice touch and bar is decent, food offering I the restaurant is pretty average although there’s lots of restaurants a stones throw away and Anchorage has some great dining options so I get why the hotel probably doesn’t try to hard to compete.

Aloft has more personality, color, and texture than a typical midrange chain hotel. The room was immaculate, the bed very firm and comfortable. The staff were friendly and quick for both check in and check out. I didn’t hear any sounds from surroundings rooms and overall really enjoyed my stay!

The area has a lot of transient foot traffic which is not something the property can control, of course, but I would not leave anything in my vehicle here.

Staff is very friendly

Stayed there twice recently and both times the HVAC was very noisy.
