The Carter inn

This motel is a super place to stay. The clean room was newly remodeled and the owner adds a personal touch. The owners are very nice and welcoming. The town is great fun, beautiful surroundings and on the Backcountry Discovery Route. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great stay at Carter Inn and I can’t recommend enough. The little details matter! Homemade breakfast was delicious. Proprietors were very friendly. The rooms were clean and had all the necessities. My party was on a week long motorcycle trip and this was the best place we stayed.

I didn’t want to leave this place! The owners are delightful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The homemade breakfast is really good!! I highly recommend this inn! This place is a treasure!!!! It’s the perfect location for your Wyoming adventures!

Nice and clean. Bed was comfy, robes and slippers were a great touch.

Really nice owners. Nice outside sitting area with misters. Excellent breakfast!! They are good cooks & lots of selections - home made baking was outstanding ! The parking area is gravel so a bit sketchy on motorcycles & a tight blind corner to get out onto the road, but we managed. There are 3 bars with food & a great brewery but only the Saloon had friendly staff. Beautiful scenery east of town!

Clean, comfortable and well appointed inn in a cool little town. Amazing breakfast and tremendous hosts. Be sure to drive through Tensleep Canyon. If you are in the area I can’t imagine a better place to stay. Did I mention the incredible breakfast?
