It was rustic, clean and cozy

It was quiet and private. Due to mechanical difficulties, I arrived after the normal check-in time. But the owners of this lodge accommodated me very well. The breakfast they served was superb. I would recommend this place to anyone passing through or wanting to stay for a while.

We truly enjoyed staying at the Carter Inn. It was very comfortable and spotless! We had a superb breakfast made from scratch! We felt at home in this wonderful motel and recommend it to anyone that is looking for a good place to stop and rest for the night .

The Carter Inn was a unique stay in small-town Wyoming. The owners were so pleasant and the Inn is very much run like a very welcoming Bed and Breakfast rather than a small town motel. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely return again. It was well worth staying outside of Cody and making the drive into Cody or surrounding tourist areas!

We recently stayed at the Carter Inn for our week long rock climbing trip and this place was wonderful. My husband had stayed here the year before and raved at house awesome it was. And this truly was the case because of owners Christa and Ken. They made our stay so enjoyable and I know we will be back. The room was super comfortable, which was a must have after long climbing days. The room was equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, AC, and heater. The bathrooms had plenty of towels, blow dryer, and dispensers with shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Now let’s talk about the homemade breakfast every morning. Christa and Ken prepared a delicious breakfast each morning. Eggs, sausage, and even biscuits and gravy one morning!!! The homemade bread was so good and Christa made a spicy honey with ricotta cheese one morning. So good!! I loved breakfast every morning. Christa and Ken were amazing and it was great chatting with them each morning. They invited us to the town pizza night and Bingo at the Daily Bread. We had so much fun. We enjoyed our stay so much and highly recommend The Carter Inn. Until next time!
