"Exceptional"

The property is set in a rural location but is a blend of modern and traditional buildings. Spotless with brilliant staff throughout. Food was outstanding. Bedrooms are very clean and well equipped with very comfortable beds. Genuinely cannot fault any part of this stay. Most certainly will be back. Loved it!

The location

The fact that the music was left on in the bar below until well after midnight (yes apparently by staff) but the management I feel were totally tone deaf about my complaint and suggested a one off accident should be reason to give a bad review as they apologised and it hasn’t happened before Tone deaf to the fact I had to exit the building at 12.30am in the rain to attempt to get downstairs to get to the bar Yes the bar was closed with light on but so was the MUSIC Loud enough to be heard in my room as a bass resonating through my room ! I was told no other guests complained !! What does that even mean? Is my complaint then unwarranted And to suggest the music wasn’t that loud ! I mean Come on !! Do a course in customer service soon please What an awful response to a totally justified complaint that ruined my nights sleep and stay At lease show some contrition not try to turn it on me ! I gave you a chance to put it right and you came out punching with a passive aggressive apology 1 out or 10

The food and drink on offer are good and reasonably priced.

We were maybe unlucky, but a 30 minute wait for a poached egg with no contact between ordering and serving was not the best way to start a day.

"Overall good value for money"

Great location, plenty of parking. Fabulous staff, really friendly and helpful. Good choice of beers. Good food excellent breakfast menu.

Our room was a little small with the bed right against a wall which was a little awkward for bathroom visits during the night. There was no chair in the room as no space. The wardrobe was a bit precarious as it wasn’t fixed to the wall and leant into the room.
