the Alander

This place is a gem! Some context, my boyfriend and I (23) are from an urban area and work brought us here for a quick trip. We both enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city. We normally stay at chain hotels. With no chain hotels in reasonable driving distance from our destination we went with the Alander. We were out of our comfort zones and nervous. As soon as we entered the room our anxiety quickly faded. The room was well maintained and clean. It had a very inviting home away from home feel. We ate at the North Star- the attached restaurant and the food was delicious. The staff were lovely. The owners value attention to detail and it shows! We will definitely be back.

Not a great room. Very small. Never met hosts. Nice people working there though. The restaurant was good. The town lost power the next morning so we had to leave before we had hoped.

Nice stay. Really liked the coffee and yogurt that was left.

Such a lovely lodge and Jason and Reid are just so wonderful. Can't wait to come back and see all that they're building!

Loved the cozy feel. They thought of everything in the rooms and were so attentive to us during our stay. I will be back for sure.

Alander is a great place to stay. Room is spacious clean. Bed is comfortable and nice. Decor is over the top. Bathroom is neat and clean. Most of all the staff is accommodating, accessible and responsive to our request even it was late. Love the idea of promoting local products. Love the coffee! The restaurant North Star is superb food was great. Hopefully we can go back in spring. Despite the snowstorm we still enjoyed our stay.

Great last minute stay! fun amenities, loved the welcome basket and local yogurt and granola. Wished I could stay another night for the restaurant bar, but will another time!

These guys are miracle workers. Love what they did to the place. Renovations are simple and cozy. The only thing I would add. The restaurant needs couple of more kids options other than that the food and drinks are amazing. Great job. And Anne at the front desk is the sweetest

Good sized room with well considered design touches. Fire pit with s’mores for purchase in room were a hit for my kids. Good coffee, tea and tasty complimentary granola. Convenient to skiing and good dining options, including onsite.
