"Chilled out, relaxed and unpretentious"

8.0

We went back for the second year in a row in summer as we really liked the set up of our room and the chilled out, relaxed and unpretentious vibe there. Our room was nice and big (2 bedrooms/bathrooms/living area & mini kitchenette) and came with its own swimming pool (one of the bigger pools, not the small ones), which the kids absolutely loved! Having the private hotel beach at our disposal too was a real highlight for us parents too. 😊 The staff were all friendly and helpful, but a special shout out & thank you goes to Dimitra, the client relations manager. She was the best we‘ve ever experienced at any other hotel and is one of the reasons we came back again to Ammoa. We had our own rental car and she gave us such great and useful tips on where to eat out, places to visit etc. We were so grateful to her! We would also recommend hiring a car when in Sithonia/Halkidiki as there are so many great, interesting places and beaches to visit. Paradise Beach was definitely one of our highlights whilst there!

Amazing Stay – Everything Was Perfect! I had the most wonderful time at Ammoa Luxury Resort in Halkidiki. Everything about this place is high quality—from the beautifully designed rooms and spotless cleanliness to the fantastic food and professional service. The staff were always friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere throughout the resort was so relaxing and elegant.

"not going back there"

4.0

I am rating this so low because the Hotel Management policies ruined the experienced for me. I asked to have guests for a day to visit me; the hotel policy was to charge 100 euros per car . Thats a lot of money to pay for a day to access the pool and the beach for a family. Please bear in mind that I paid 3,000 euros for my stay so they are asking to charge extra 100 euros for a day. Fair enough. The next day I asked the reception that I may have a guest which is 1 person and she will come at 2pm - so not the whole day. Their reply was again its 100 euros. That is really bad customer service, it shows me this hotel is money hungry and they are they have not heard the flexibility concept. So again, my guest didnt come and I would gladly spend 100 euros somewhere else but there. The same day, while there was a heat wave in Greece, a lady that didnt stay at the hotel, went on the pool bar to BUY a bottle of water for her Child and they refused to sell it to her due to Management Policy ! That story was published on the greek local news. The hotel is nice and the amenities are ok; But there are many hotels with nice pools, rooms and balconies. The food at the breakfast and at dinner was ok; nothing too special. The coffee at breakfast was super bad - the water at this hotel is not drinkable and the coffee smelled like the water used on coffee was tap water. Most of the staff was nice especially the cleaning ladies. Some of the staff by the beach was sitting close to us and they were talking a bit loud to each other so I heard them complaining about their day. Also the situation with the towels was ridiculous. I think some people must have stolen towels and so that the guests had to give cards to take towels and then bring them back to get the cards. - thats not a 5* experience at all. I will not go back - there are many options to choose with the similar budget of 3k so I will try something new.

"Holiday with Ammoa 🏝️"

10.0

We have had a lovely holiday staying at Ammoa hotel. From the communications with Dimitra through to the service we received at check-in, booking taxis and daily support from concierge on restaurant recommendations and bookings. The same can be said for the staff throughout other areas of the hotel, such as the buffet and pool bar. The service has been faultless. We stayed in a bungalow room with a private pool. Immaculately clean with a beautiful view. Two cleaners came in each day around our schedule and were very considerate especially, when the children were sleeping. The only downside to our stay was the considerable prices which other reviewers have commented on. We decided to pay a visit to a local supermarket and bakeries for lunches, snacks and water and headed out for dinner in the evenings. The beach is stunning with very blue sea. Lots of sun beds and attentive staff. A very relaxing experience. We were bed and breakfast only and very much enjoyed what options were available. I only wish I found the Greek coffee earlier. Thank you to the whole team for a very memorable stay. We will be back. Reeves family

"Exceptional Value and Comfort: A Memorable Family Stay by the Beach"

10.0

As an independent travel agent, I found this hotel to be one of the best in its budget category. From the personal greeting and hotel tour upon arrival to the smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process, everything was well-executed. We traveled with our 6-year-old child on a half-board basis. Below is a summary of our experience: Room: Immaculately clean and spacious, with ample room for luggage and generous wardrobe space. The bathroom featured a double washbasin with a large stone console, a separate shower/wet room, and a toilet. The balcony offered a pleasant view and was furnished with a table and chairs. The air conditioning was very effective. Amenities included a hairdryer, ironing equipment, and everything else you need to relax and enjoy your stay. Room service was also available. Pools: There are four pools—one large main pool and three smaller ones suitable for children. Among them are features such as a water fountain and a jacuzzi. Beach: The beach is just steps away—approximately 20 steps down from the lobby stairs. It’s sandy, with shallow, clear water where small fish swim around your feet. The beach is conveniently located near the pool and the pool bar. Pool Bar: Drinks can be ordered directly while sunbathing or by walking up to the bar. The drink selection is good, and the food portions are very generous—one plate was often enough for the three of us! Restaurant: The buffet-style restaurant served a wide variety of delicious dishes and desserts. Options included lamb chops, roast pork, whole grilled seabass, and various vegetarian dishes. Breakfast included everything from continental selections to freshly prepared omelets and pastries. There is also a separate banquet-style restaurant available by reservation for a more formal dining experience. Staff: Polite, professional, welcoming, cheerful, and always ready to help—everything you would want in a hospitality team. Surroundings: Nikiti is a 5-minute drive away, ideal for picking up daily necessities. Neos Marmaras, about 20 minutes away by car, is a must-visit town with vibrant nightlife, excellent dining options, and numerous souvenir shops.

"It needs a lot of improvement, especially when it comes to the staff."

6.0

As a general impression, the bed — the most important piece in the hotel room — was uncomfortable. The pillows, even though there were two per person, were too firm, so I had no real choice among them. It’s important to mention that Ammoa Hotel leaves much to be desired in terms of room cleanliness. I reported this to the reception, as well as the fact that our bed linen was torn. Although I was assured it would be taken care of, the linen remained the same for at least one more day, and the cleaning continued to be poor throughout our stay. From my point of view, this is unacceptable for a 5-star hotel. Moreover, Georgia, the lady in charge of guest relations, is nice, but the information seems to get lost somewhere. We ordered flowers for the girls’ birthdays, and it was confirmed that they would be delivered to the room at 8 AM. But guess what? On the smallest girl’s birthday, my husband went to reception at 8:30 to get the flowers. On the oldest girl’s birthday, I went myself around 8:10-8:15. Similarly, when I pointed out the issues with the linen and cleanliness to Georgia, she made me wait pointlessly at reception while she was talking to someone (probably the hotel manager) behind a wall, and then she came back only to thank me for the feedback. I was left speechless. Below our room was one room with a private pool, and I couldn’t help but notice that the flowers on the left and right sides of the pool were dried out, brown, and left that way — no one was tending to the poor plants. Breakfast and dinner were relatively okay. The same items, hardly anything changed from one day to another. Limited fruit variety, same with the desserts — few and repetitive. The outdoor playground for kids is in full sun all day, which makes no sense. Sure, there’s an indoor play area too, but still, the outdoor one could’ve been better positioned. As it is, it was mostly unused because it was impossible to play there in the heat. The positives: the beach is very beautiful, and the sea water has a stunning turquoise color. The pools were okay. The common areas (like the pool bathrooms and the restaurant) were also okay. Another plus is that the resort is spread out across a flat area — you don’t have to go up or down too much. Personally, this was a benefit for me because I could go for runs within the resort grounds. The rooms were equipped with quality items. The welcome tray, ironing center, and if I’m not mistaken, the baby crib and luggage rack were all from Bentley — a premium hospitality supplier. The minibar was from Dometic, also a premium brand as far as I know. The hairdryer from Valera was fairly powerful. The cosmetics could definitely be improved.

"Sky high prices"

4.0

Hotel is nice, very clean , food is good and beach is perfect. BUT. Sky high prices at bar and beach Two persons drinks and simple food for lunch 50eur more or less. Not friendly stuff especially at beach Sometimes you feel that they want to rob you with prices. At beach drinks are served in plastic not in paper cups. In my photos you will see prices. If they correct attitude and prices it could be great stay.
