Salty Breeze Bali

Posto sporco, ci hanno fatto pagare 20 euro per un asciugamano che abbiamo macchiato, assurdo ...dopo 1400 euro per una stanza mi chiedi 20 euro per una asciugamano, neanche fosse di Gucci!!!e poi colazione cara,pessima e ti devi anche servire e sparecchiare da solo...oltretutto mi sono riempita di bolle per gli acari del materasso. Ripeto abbiamo pagato quasi 1500 euro per 2 settimane e abbiamo fatto la doccia fredda per 15 giorni e oltretutto c era anche un cantiere aperto quindi alle 7 e mezza sveglia forzata con martello pneumatico!

the Location is very remoten and there are a lot of trees and Vegetation around wich gives it nice Green Touch. The Hat itself was small and cozy and totally fine for our two nichts stay. We could rent a little Scooter for an acceptable price as well.

There was a construction site in the neighbourhood that was really, really noisy. There was mold in the Roofing Materials inside the hat. Everything is a little smaller than on the Pictures.

The staff are lovely and accommodating.

Salty Breeze seems to have put more effort into its marketing than in the execution - the property comes across as neglected (thatch falling apart, overgrown, moss growing over the pool tiles, deck rotting in places) and the Pool House which had the potential to be lovely had little privacy, was furnished sparsely and the views were almost non existant because the vegetation hadn’t been cut back. There are no facilities other than a gym / yoga shala which we avoided because it looked so unappealing. With nowhere to get tea or coffee and no in room facilities, the place is pretty isolated. It needs proper investment and consideration of the guest experience.

Quiet, atmospheric place! Who likes to connect with nature and be in comfort - this is the place to be.

First off: our Hut with it's little tiny Pool was just BEAUTIFUL! Cannot understand the guests reviewing who did not use the pool/bathtub at all! It's really awesome for cooling down! 🤗 The Security guard was one of the sweetest person ever - we loved him! There are a hell lot of mosquitos, but with a hell lot of Spray that was no problem, just for notice!

BUT. They DO NOT HAVE A RESTAURANT!!!! Even though Booking says so - AND They even wrote me a message on WhatsApp, again THEMSELVES mentioning their Restaurant!!!! And for just getting to the island with no experience and thinking we can eat dinner and have breakfast there (what was ALSO a reason for booking this) is just NOT ACCEPTABLE. We were very well aware of the location and poor infrastructure and food options in the area - BUT WE COUNTED ON THE RESTAURANT THAT WE WERE TOLD WOULD BE RIGHT ON THE FACILITY!!!! The dude just told us there is no restaurant and after asking why internet is telling us so then, he just ignored me and gave no answer to that. Thus location of the Stay only gets 2 stars as well. And also the service. Second service action was: Upon checking out another staff took - and that is no joke - 27 Minutes to get the bill of the mini fridge right. When we only took 4 drinks in total and she got it wrong first because the blueprint of the guests before showed on our paper still a tiny bit and she was just (I really have to say that now) to freaking dumb to check the pictures and compare the hand writings. This is an ABSOLUTE no go and it really cost me my last nervs after explaining with hands and feet for the 15th time in 35° heat to her that we had 2 seltzers and a coke and a sprite. PLEASE keep in mind to not use the paper with pressed through blueprint of the guests before you. And on we go: EXCUSE ME, I somehow can take when you start sweeping the floor outside early in the morning - but at 05:30 (no lie) with the huge party soundbox (tower) almost on full volume AND full bass - are you insane?! Like what the fuck and why are you doing that to your guests?! I had to go and put the volume down after being ripped brutally out of sleep!!!

Everything was very pleasant and very nice! Staff were very friendly and welcoming! Always looking out for you. Room was very pretty and lovely for a couple, we must say that we had enjoyed very much our stay in Salty Breeze. We were lucky to meet the monkeys, they come and visit in the morning as it is close to the Uluwatu temple! I recommend the items they sell at the reception! Best aftersún ever and we loved the T-shirts and bikinis. They are very efficient, send you updates and recommendations for the area!

We arrived a night earlier than our booking and the receptionist was very helpful and kind to let us book the night on the spot! We did not love the fact that the swimming pool was not clean on our arrival although we were told the room was ready after he went to the room to check. Also being a pool house you expect at least the swimming pool to be private, but is not at all. I guess there is another hotel or home stay next to Salty breeze and unlucky for us our room was right next to their common area so we could hear loud music and people talking until very late at night. Few of the facilities that were supposed to be available to use for extra cost were not available as they were in maintenance. They don’t have a restaurant of kitchen so cannot have anything to eat.
