Tessera Hotel

Spacious and comfortable with charming ambience. Staff were very obliging and location is really convenient. Tour organised with Ridvan from Sore (soray) travel was a standout. We had a delightful day and rearranged the schedule as we went along to add in a visit to the fascinating Sogmatar and Haran. It was a magical day.

Such a cool place!! You get to stay in a piece of history! I’m not 100% sure but I think it was a 12th century Armenian Church. Very interesting architecture everywhere. It’s like staying in a museum! And the people were extremely friendly!! I loved the waitresses at breakfast in the morning. Oh and the food was so good!! The beds were absolutely heavenly! And the staff brought us çay and freshly squeezed orange juice when we arrived. They also helped us get a good parking spot right next to the area where there is a gate to the little hidden medieval village. And the staff helped us with our luggage and brought us brochures in English to explain all of the fun things to learn about and explore around the area. We didn’t see many other American tourists and I loved that! Just shows me that this is not a well known destination outside of the local tourism… and it makes it even better to walk through an area that is untouched by westernization. And it wasn’t too far to drive to Gobeklitepe, Karahantepe, and Harran. It is about 3 hours to Mount Nemrut, but you can’t have everything lol! The town has everything you need! Restaurants with Delicious food in really amazing ancient buildings with some great historical stories. I would love to go there again!!

Çevreyi çok bilmediğimiz için başta tereddüt ederek gelsemde çok ama çok memnun kaldık. Odanın ve otelin konforu tamda beklediğimiz gibiydi. Oda gayet temiz,büyük ve konforluydu. Çalışanlar çok ilgili ve güleryüzlüydü. Merkeze olan konumu ise oldukça güzel. Yürüyerek her yere ulaşabiliyorsunuz. Herhangi bir sorun olduğunda çalışanlar yardımcı olmak için ellerinden geleni yapıyorlar. Biz çok memnun kalarak konakladık. Tekrar yolun düşse yine kalmayı isteyeceğim bir otel.

Lovely place in a very good location in the old city. Great breakfast. Clean, pretty rooms. They even made sure we had a sandwich to take with us and a smooth departure for an early morning flight.

Beautiful, atmospheric property. Very kind and helpful owner and staff. Assisted with access to Mr Ridwan Derin at Sore Travel in Urfa who was an extraordinary guide and host.

Great place from check in to check out. Helpful friendly staff, impeccably clean, fantastic breakfast. You won't go wrong booking a room here. Perfect in every way.

The Tessera is a beautifully restored Armenian monastery, and tastefully done to today's standards. The breakfast is outstanding, with endless choices, and all of good quality. The bathroom has excellent water pressure in the shower and the bed is very comfortable. Unfortunately, many/most staff do not speak English (or Spanish, or French). As a suggestion, a quick, elementary English course for staff in simple English communication would be of great help for travelers.

Aside from a gorgeous look and great location, this hotel really looks after guests. They went above and beyond to make our trip to Urfa fun and welcoming. This is a hospitality driven business, which cares for their guests as they would visiting family. Nothing was too much trouble. There was lots of suggestions about how to spend our time we took, and had a much richer time because of it. The breakfast is excellent.
