La Maltese Estate

Stayed for one night. Booked a room with two separate bedrooms - ground floor bedroom was lovely and the lounge area had various seating arrangements. Lovely and clean and staff very friendly. View was amazing.

The upstairs room was very basic and wasn't of the same standard - just a small bed and an en suite toilet - literally just a toilet and sink! Having to walk down the road from our room to go back past reception and to the pool - then having to walk back up hill with a towel around me. Did not like the set up and was very disappointed. The view was great, but overlooked a restsurant as well snd the hot tub was not private. Breakfast was a huge disappointment- toast snd slices of cake. Bar was not open in the evening and was so small, we would not have spent time there anyway. Would not stay again and glad was only for one night!

The rooms, suites, food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. The services provided by the professional management and staff are the main reasons that we keep coming back. The old world elegance is a rare thing, and we value their focus to make sure that everything about the lodging experience is excellent. I highly recomend this hotel.

This accomodation was huge. Two bedrooms + Two bathrooms. Caldera views. Near walking path to Fira 3km to min town. Friendly staff. Provided us a parking space…not sure if that would be available later in the season.

Wifi coverage in bedrooms poor, but good in living room. Note that there is construction on restaurant right above. Not a bother for us but might interrupt sleeping late after 9am. Hot tub is an inflatable. Property is a bit dated.

We did not receive the bedding for our sofa bed after requesting it twice. The breakfast area did not open on time and then food service was extremely slow and unorganized even the coffee wasn’t ready 15 minutes after they were supposed to open. There was a wedding going on in the bar and this meant the bar was closed to non wedding guests and the wedding music and guests were loud after quiet hours. Our hot tub did not heat up and we were unable to find anyone in the office to assist us.

Itcwas a little out of the way, but very helpful patrons awaiting when we arrived. Would recommend.
