Trugo Luxury Rooms

This boutique hotel was positioned in a nice part of town with cafes and a park nearby. The Room was little on the small size but had a nice view of the street. The main areas were nicely decorated and staff extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a limited selection but was very tasty.

The bed was very hard giving me dead arms in the night ( I’m a side sleeper) There is a nightclub on the 5th floor and the loud music went on till 12.30 and made it hard to sleep. As we are travelling by motorcycle we need quality sleep. Also there was a lot of drunk people leaving through the hotel at early hours. Not really conducive with what you would expect from a boutique hotel ! In the morning there was no hot water to shower! The breakfast room is underground and although nicely decorated was a bit unappealing.

Employees were super friendly. Love the hotel, love the rooftop restaurant. Very accesible to supermarket and store. Overall they are awesome

The location is the only thing good.

It’s not a hotel. It’s a one night stand hotel. There were people coming in and out asking if there were room available. You can tell by the room numbers there are different kinds of room as some of them numbered and others only said “Filandia’s room”. There were a few of these in every floor. There was not hot water, one can imagine why, nobody bath there. They said they’ll fix it and it was 11pm when they did it. We arrive with two young children after a long trip and we couldn’t bath them as the water was freezing cold. We couldn’t sleep either as there is a rooftop bar with the music so loud you could hear it all over the hotel. We complained about the water and music, they said they’ll fix it but didn’t do it on time and the water never came out hot enough. The next day we told them that with children and the whole situation we couldn’t continue at the hotel and that we wanted the money back from the nights lefts. They agreed on giving us back the money but they haven’t. It’s been more than a week and they are not even answering. It’s NOT kids friendly and they should have said that before hand.

The front desk staff it’s incredible helpful, the bartender is always friendly and attentive. The restaurant staff it’s always on the top of everything, breakfast it’s very good, the area it’s very safe definitely I’ll come back here.

Welcome was good, helpful with transfer in arrival

We’ve arrived at 10pm, we were tired after flight but not possible to sleep . There is a bar/club upstairs with very loud music, really really loud till 00:45.. Very strange crowd of the bar hanging out in the lobby. The sheets and towels are very old and used up. Next morning at the checkout it took around half an hour they didn’t let us leave as the maid didn’t find hand towel! A guy at the reception started investigate at what time we arrived , did his collègue did an inventory of the towels… (no,she didn’t!) it’s not his fault, he was following the instructions I suppose. But do the owners/managers think somebody will need their old/ used up hand towels?! We proposed to check our luggage and let us leave, but no.. they were continuing to look for the towel in the room! No will to try find a solution to accelerate check out! After we started getting nervous, finally he let us leave, apologising for inconvenience! What was it all for then? Managers/owners revise your procedures! And renew your towels and sheets. Highly NOT RECOMMENDING STAY IN THIS HOTEL!

Staff was great

Breakfast was lack luster and needs attention. Not enough variety. They only serve a couple of different things. Food was good tasting though.

The price vs location was fare enough, the breakfast is good, not many options but tasty.

The parking is quite far from the hotel, three blocks aprox, also is only from 9 PM to nine AM, the noise from the bar in the rooftop is really annoying an ends at 12:30 AM

Breakfast was terrific and exceeded my expectations. Relaxing music, cheerful staff, food was excellent, the dining room had ambiance, loved the coffee and arepas con queso, fruit was also good. The bar/restaraunt at the top had wonderful food and nice music. The place was hip. The taco's, burgers and beer were great. I also loved the city view. This is also a great location. You can walk to a grocery store, parque fundadores, health care, the bank and restaraunts. It's also in a nice neighborhood. Cabs are also close and this location tends to quiet down at night. The room was fresh and upscale. Nice art.

Just a few small things that are not deal breakers. Our room only had one trashcan in the bathroom. A second trash can in the main room would have been nice. The room didn't have a coffee maker nor a desk or chair to work if you were a business person. The pillows were comfortable so working on the bed was fine. The only other thing is I am a tall traveler and when you walk down the stairs on floor two the stairwell is quite low. The paint on the stairwell blends in with the wall so I hit my head the 1st time. I know this is on me but it would have been nice to have some sort of sign, warning or contrasting colors.
