Silver Maple Motel

Location is very close to downtown.. with a nice view of the bay across the street. Room was clean..beds were comfortable. There is a fridge and microwave in the room.

Nice tidy clean rooms. Staff was friendly. Let's face it, it's not a Marriott resort but the room was clean and the linens fresh and they even had a Keurig coffee maker. Right in the heart of 'downtown' Haliburton.

The room was small but adequate. There were 3 of us staying but we were only given linens for 2 people. I had to go up to the front desk to get more. The air conditioning didn't seem to work very well either. All that being said I would stay here again.

Good motel right across the street from the lake and a short drive from restaurants and shopping.

Coming into the parking lot we were a bit thrown off as the area looked shady, and it was not right on the lake like the picture showed. It was across the busy street from the lake, with a small section for motel use. However, we were not dissappointed at all, as the room ended up being surprisingly fantastic! It was clean, modern, the floors were nice, it had a big roku tv and the beds very comfortable. The coffee pods were a nice touch! The AC was very loud, but we appreciated that the room was cold. There was some noise from the highway but the conveniance of the location close to everything made up for it. There is a nice long walking path around the lake steps away from motel, with a gorgeous view of the sunset. The only thing we suggest is to change the bathroom light bulb from dim yellow to bright white... it was very dark and hard to see in there!! Also, we noticed the peddle boat in the lake area that said silver maple motel on it. It had one peddle missing and wasn't maintained so we didn't even inquire, but we would have loved to use it!! We liked our stay at Silver Maple very much and would stay here again when passing through Haliburton!!
