Baymont by Wyndham Dayton North

It was just an overnight stop on a trip price was great however upon arrival into the room there was a cockroach walking on the bathroom counter. Not a great first impression

First glance it looked kept up, but older. The athletics of the room decorations were pleasant. Fairly good breakfast of waffles, biscuits and gravy, but no protein options. The bed was comfortable and the TV worked. The clerk talked to us calmly.

The floor was not clean, spiderwebs in corners, cracked sidewalks. Elevator didn’t work. Bathroom near the front desk didn’t work. I suspected that the hand towel had been used before we checked in. I attempted to talk to the clerk about my concerns. The clerk acknowledged my concerns but acted helpless and didn’t have solutions. (At one time she stated that she offered us a room on the 3rd floor but we rejected it. We rejected it as the elevator didn’t work). We had two lamps without bulbs. After I reported this and the clerk said ‘people steal’ I left. I expected for someone to bring us and maybe even replace the bulbs but no one came and we left with the lamps not working still. They didn’t answer phone calls and I resorted to walking to the front desk to get hand soap. I had to fold up the ironing board to remove it from blocking the hall to the bathroom. We had to search for working power outlets as the first I tried wasn’t operational.

Arrived at Hotel around 8pm, got to room...bathroom wasn't cleaned, still had someone elses dirty towel that was used and no clean towels, no soap, no shampoo...went to front desk asked for the items and was refused a clean towel...the receptionist was another story, the rudest person i have ever came across, she absolutely refused to give me a clean towel and walked away from me and cussed at me and then rolled her eyes and said it wasnt her hotel and i needed to call a manager in the morning to get a towel??? Was the worst experiences i have ever had at a hotel and will NEVER spend money at the establishment again! I hope she gets fired, she has no right to work in customer service!!!

It was certainly clean, Landscape was very beautiful!
