Uni Island - City Center Suites

clean, bright, had all amenities you need, and short walk to the centre

the surrounding streets are not so welcoming at night. To be clear… we didn’t have a bad experience, but it felt at times slightly unsafe.

Stratos is a wonderful host. Always there to provide advices and tips for the city and surrounding. We could contact him anytime during the staying. The suites are modern, clean, well organized and are located about 5 minutes walk from the city center. Also, all the main local buses can be found at the end of the street. No matter if you are there for leisure or business (wifi is a 10/10!), uni island is very recommended by us!

We stayed at suite 1 and it was a great room. We had everything we needed and whenever we had a question the host would help us out super quickly! He is really friendly and gave great recommendations. He even gave us a welcoming basket with coffee, tea, sugar, jam, protein bars and even raki. The place was very clean and the beds were comfortable. I would really recommend it. It is also just a 10min walk to the center of the city.

There is quite a bit of noise outside and the walls aren't that thick so you can hear especially the construction in the morning and the kung fu studio next door. But it wasn't that much of a problem, just not that nice. Also for us it wasn't a problem but for others it might be. My boyfriend and I are only beneath 1m75 so quite small but if you are bigger than us than the ceilings from suite 1 will be really low in the bathroom, under the loft where the kitchen is and the bedroom.

Stratos was fabulous in his communication before we arrived and when we arrived quite late. Place was spotless and he organised a taxi for us to pick up our rental car the next day. A true gentleman.

Everything is perfect

We stayed 2 nights in a double bedroom with independent entry from the street. The room was comfortable and spacious, with double bed, sofa, table, washing machine and a fully equipped kitchen (also with coffee, sugar, coffee machine, and everything to wash dishes). Thumbs up also for the bathroom. The structure is newly renovated with style. There's a nice courtyard for the use of all guests. Stratos (the host) is super kind and welcoming. We arrived quite late at night and he was there waiting for us. The location is very convenient, probably one of the best compromise you can find: 15 minutes walking from the city centre, close to a main street where you can find all kind of shops and services, out of the confusion and the noise. We did not have a car, but I guess parking in the whereabouts could be difficult.

The room was at the ground floor with direct access from the street and windows on the street and on the courtyard: this means you basically have to keep your blindings always closed if you don't people to watch inside your apartment. This results in dark environment and need to sleep always with the airconditioning on, instead that with fresh air coming from outside. I would have given 10/10 to Uni Islands if I stayed in the upper floor rooms (which, by the way, have amazing balconies).
