Great location, hotel was very clean tidy and quiet. Beds really comfortable, showers great. Would stay again.

This hotel is gorgeous and luxurious. Attention to detail is spot on 👌🏻 the highyard was brilliant for cocktails and also for breakfast. All staff we interacted with couldnt do enough for us. My only draw back would be that that rooms are smaller than expected going from the images. It didn't impact anything but worth noting as it did suprise me a little. Would recommend to anyone!

From the minute our feet stepped in to the hotel felt like we were on a red magic carpet swept to reception and checked in early which was brilliant . The signature scent heaven (please make some candles) in reception and friendly staff . The rooms are lush and well designed ladies mirror, vanity and socket perfectly all located no more sitting on the floor like most hotels . The complementary toiletries are amazing . The bar and staff so friendly and nice beers. Then we met Nikki asset to the hotel thanks for a good evening . We felt like family in this hotel not just guests . Breakfast superb choice buffet and the menu . Gutted to check out this morning but we will be back .

Newly opened hotel, excellent for City Centre based exploration, and within walking distance of main event venues. Superb service by extremely attentive staff, though a special mention to Lorna in the restaurant/bar who catered for our every (and occasionally pernickety) need. Super choice of wines and whiskies, excellent Tomahawk steaks and Iberian cured pork which was perfectly pink and extremely moreish. Great to have the option of haggis and black pudding with cooked breakfast, but especially grateful for genuine, runny fried eggs. We were fortunate to have one of the slightly larger rooms to be found at either end of each floor. Though slightly quirky, with individual wc and walk-in shower facilities, along with a separate basin in the "dressing area", the room was immaculately appointed and featured a small "Smeg" fridge (the treats provided are extremely tempting though a tad pricey). My only minor criticism would be the lack of clothes storage space for anyone staying longer than 3 or 4 days, otherwise we were thoroughly impressed by the standards being set by the management and their team. All in all, it should prove a very welcome addition for short stay Glasgow City breaks.

We booked Virgin Glasgow to celebrate my husband's birthday. After recently visiting Virgin Edinburgh, we were very much looking forward to our stay. We upgraded to side river facing room. Check-in was great. Room lovely, great mini bar selection and decor impressive. We wanted to enjoy our room after arrival. However, there was building work going on directly above ( or definitely sounded above ) our rooms so we couldn't relax. Mentioned to reception who informed us they would be finished soon! Bar was great, and Kyle, young barman, was friendly and very welcoming. Breakfast on both mornings was disastrous, poor service, buffet empty, when refilled empty again after few minutes. Long wait for coffee ( only 1 coffee machine) and on both mornings either needed grounds emptied or milk refilled resulting in large que both mornings. Wait for breakfast of menu ridiculous....ordered advacado & poached eggs and waited 35 minutes. It was very nice. However, both mornings, we ate separately due to wait. Also, if you don't ask for toast, this is not offered. All in all, breakfast is very poor for...£22 never worth it. My son was staying at a nearby hotel paying much less, and the breakfast was on a different level. All in all, lovely hotel, staff friendly, but would say Virgin Glasgow are not quite there yet, which left us somewhat disappointed.

Firstly, if you can get a room for under £100/night - fine. New. Decent food and staff are clearly enjoying themselves. However, I hate everything else about this hotel. From the walking cliche, tartan trousered trainees that greet you, to the terrible tech in the closets that pass as rooms upstairs. This hotel was designed by a challenged child that was asked to draw Scotland from cartoon. I paid ~£180 for the pleasure of a river view double room. Compact and bijou would be the kindest thing I could say. The room was about the size of the bed with a just enough room to swing a pigmy mouse. It was also very smug, filled with overpriced snacks and beverages in case hipsters wish to burn more excess cash (including a miniature of Buckfast). All the in-room controls are modern but cheap, with clunky tech that will age about as well as the decor. Finding a light switch in the middle of the night was just plain annoying. I had half a window on the inner corner of the building, with a slither of the river visible. This remained visible at 8am as the curtain didn't close properly, waking me up for what was actually a decent breakfast, served in a smart mezzanine level which also provides a decent location to get some work done outside of breakfast hours. However the mezzanine toilets are a hall of mirrors, reminiscent of the ending to Enter the Dragon. Avoid them unless you're Bruce Lee or like cheap carnival tricks. This hotel is trying hard but won't age well.

Staff very friendly and accommodating Stayed on 4th floor and only one out of two elevators working so a lot of people using stairs. Area is up and coming but looked to a have a cluster of drug deals going on at the entrance to the bridge early evening. Perfect location for shopping. Reception arranged table reservation and taxi to a local restaurant.

New hotel in the city centre Few teething troubles mainly due to staff training etc but will get better in time I think
