"Exceptional"

The breakfast is so great, and so much thanks for the delicious welcome shortbreads.

The room is not soundproof. I can hear the footsteps upstairs. But the room is so beautiful

Breakfast was lovely. Loved sitting in the garden in the evening and lunch time. It was a great sunny position and the garden was well cared for.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent, location was very good. Room was very comfortable. We were cycling the Way of the roses and there was secure storage for our bikes.

"lovely guesthouse"

Paul and Fiona were very nice couple who run this place with good recommendation of the attractions and restaurants. I could see they put a lot of love into this place. It was a very lovely guest house with everything we needed. Breakfast was wonderful with so many choices to choose from. The room was good insulated that we could sleep so nicely at night. Walkable location to everywhere in York city centre. Parking spot is free of charge. We would definitely visit this place again if we would be in York

"Wholly recommend this small boutique hotel with great breakfast and near York Minster"

Wonderfully curated boutique small hotel. Decorated with live and good taste. The hospitality was great - lots of small touches like home made soap and a welcome glass of sherry. The food was wonderful - real artisan breakfast. Thank you for the granola recipe too.
