USWr had booked to stay there for awhile but the Company send us elsewhere and they charged me for 2 more days in order to refund me the rest. Condoms under the bed on the floor
USUSUSIt was close to the lake where we were fishing. Management was able to answer two questions I asked through Booking.com’s chat before our stay.
The rooms are about 15’ from the road. The road noise kept us awake all night. It sounds like tractor trailers were doing 100mph going by and were coming through the building. It was pretty unnerving. Some of the other guests staying there appeared to live there. During the middle of the night a strong smell of weed permeated our room from next door. There was an awful smell in the room from the time we got there that I’m still trying to wash out of my clothes. It was so strong that I felt nauseous and had a hard time sleeping because my sinuses stopped up from whatever it was. The mattress and pillows were not comfortable, but the comforter was and sheets were nice. The linoleum floor was peeling up in places and the subfloor floor underneath was really uneven making it challenging to feel steady in the dark. There were curly black hairs (not our hair) on the comforter and in the shower. The room was really humid and there was no way to keep the AC consistently running. There was a significant gap around the door. We reserved the room for two nights, but didn’t stay the second night. My confirmation through Booking.com showed the total price at around $165, but my credit card has been charged $20 more… Not sure why. I’m not sure if I should even bother trying to pursue it, or just wash my hands of the whole ordeal.
The proprietor was very nice and made sure the room was to my liking during check in.
USI was amazed to find adjustable beds in this quaint motel. I could see the updates and improvements that were installed into this unassuming small town location. Pleasantly surprised.
USIt’s great for what we needed- a place to bunk for the night. Good clean room. Didn’t need anything more.

The room smelled bad and there was a bug on the bed. We did not stay. We left immediately. We didn’t use anything in the room.

Vending machines would have been nice.
