Gelman's Getaway in Lisbon

Ahhhh so cool and comfortable coming into this spacious apartment from the August heat! My family of 4 with 2 teens loved how roomy and modern this apartment felt complete with an outdoor balcony and back terrace. Both bedrooms next to a bathroom and large main room. Excellent access to first floor from stairs or elevator. 5 minute walk to grocery store and 2 minute walk to a nice park where you can order coffee or beer or sandwiches and baked goods. Yes like others have said, the parking spot does take some expertise so give yourself extra time getting in and out. But it can be done! Don’t park on street out front for any amount of time or your car will get a boot and a hefty fine. We made that mistake and had to pay 145 euros to get free. Everything else was superb and you will not be disappointed staying here! Book it if you can!

The beds were a bit small, but I know it’s standard in Europe.

Buona posizione, appartamento grande, cucina ben attrezzata. Positiva l’aria condizionata regolabile in tutte le stanze, belli i bagni. Comode la lavatrice e la lavastoviglie.

Forse si potrebbe considerare un sistema a codice al posto di una sola chiave per quattro persone.

The apartment itself is well equipped and clean.The location is very nice, close to restaurants and in residential area.

The facilities they provided are not reliable for instance airco was out of order 2 times in one month and all of sudden no warm water. -No airco in 30degree weather during my 9 nights of stay; we had to escalate this issue to booking.com as the apartment staff rejected our phone call over and over again. At the end they refunded me 10% of my accommodation cost. If you ask me would I prefer to get this refund rather than enjoy my 10 days trip in Lisbon , the answer is absolutely no. -At this the last 3 days of my stay there was no warm water. We were take cold showers , it was my choice not to report it to the hotel, as I am so tired of dealing with the technical issues of that apartment.

Two hours before our arrival we were advised that the air conditioning was not working but they were doing their best to get it sorted. We heard nothing for the rest of our 3 day stay in Lisbon despite commitments to keep us updated. I see from other reviewers that they had a similar experience. It was extremely hot in Lisbon during our stay and the apartment was very uncomfortable as a result. Be very wary of booking this apartment.

New, well equipped and clean apartment. Communication with accomodation's staff is good. There are many supermarkets and restaurants in walking distance.

The AC was not working. We had to survive the hot August days with 2 fans. (We were informed a few days before the start of our stay that the AC was broken. It was never fixed during our 6-day stay.)
