Gelman's Getaway in Lisbon

Clean, bright with great kitchen, living space n patio. Air conditioning. Great location. Good communication with property managers.

Showers drained very slowly so that we had to turn the water off midway in order to prevent water from overflowing. Accent table in kitchen was broken.

Availability of the guest, responsive. Great location, very clean and modern. Extremely comfortable for 4 people.

Careful if you are parking a car in the garage. Tricky and requise expertise indeed

The garage carpark... Too tight and tougher for SUVs/compact SUVs.

This apartment was fantastic for our family of four with two teenagers. It was very spacious and the two bathrooms were great. The location is excellent. It is outside of the tourist areas and city center, but car hires are very cheap (usually around 5Euros) to most of the areas you want to visit in the city and the Rato metro station is nearby. The surrounding area is relatively upscale and very safe, with a lovely local park within 5 minutes walk with an aqueduct that is really nice to visit. There are two large and excellent grocery stores within a 10 minute walk and great restaurants nearby (we especially liked Forno d'Oro and Panda Cantina). The kitchen is large and well-equipped. The showers are spacious and hot water was plentiful with good water pressure. There is also plenty of storage, heating worked well (we were there in December), and several other details that made the apartment very comfortable. It is also very quiet as the bedrooms do not face the street and are on the interior of the building. The property manager was helpful and very responsive to our questions. Overall, it was one of the best places we stayed during our 3 week trip to Spain and Portugal and we didn't want to leave!

The bed in the master bedroom is quite small, even for two average-sized people. It is also not very comfortable. The parking garage was also a challenge, with a very tight squeeze, but we were able to do it in a mid-size rental car with extra time and with someone outside of the car helping to guide the driver in and out. I would recommend parking once and using public transportation or walking as much as you can to avoid the inconvenience. Even with these negatives, it was a wonderful apartment that I would highly recommend to friends and family.

Location was very good in a quite part of town, close to metro station and not far from center. Apartment was excellent! Comfortable, comphore and clean, with the perfect terraces on both sides of the apartment.
