Lovely stone cottage in the beautiful little village of Snowshill in close proximity to the other lovely villages in the Cotswolds. The house is comfortable, has parking and is cosy and peaceful. A lovely bottle of wine and local biscuits awaited us and the cottage had supplies of various bits and bobs. David the host is very responsive and has provided lots of information. Great local walks and supermarket (Co-Op) in the next town 5 mins away. A dangerous short distance to the local pub with friendly staff and local bitter on tap! : )

Cooking on the Aga oven is a little challenging with the induction part unable to heat two items at the same time. Whilst we did have some supplies included, the tinfoil had already run out, there was one dishwasher tablet and we quickly ran out of loo roll (suggestion is to bring some of your own). This may have just been an oversight from a busy cleaner however. Suggestion to the host is to have some supplies like olive oil and containers to store cooked food. The two single beds are very creaky but again, not a major detractor. Otherwise a great house and location.

"Expensive luxury in the Corswolds"

8.0

A true olde worldly experience, with impressive old beams featuring in every room. The garden was absolutely magnificent, as was the general view beyond the garden to the beautiful Cotswold meadows and hills. We really felt the history of the place and especially enjoyed our visit to the extraordinary and eclectic collection housed at Snowshill Manor, a short walk away. There are numerous beautiful walks all around, and the lavender fields nearby were in glorious bloom. It is undoubtedly in a lovely setting at so many levels.

The low water pressure in the vicity makes taking a shower a bit of a chore because it cuts off as soon as the temperature exceeds 42C. The lighting could do with a boost. The entrance is difficult to negotiate. Sometimes cars are parked in such a way as to make entry very challenging. However, even without any obstructions on the road, an unaccompanied driver would be forced to drive "blind" into the road. I would have thought a conveniently placed mirror would be a simple solution to this.
