We had an amazing time. The hotel is well run with professional staff. The hotel itself is beautiful and very relaxing. We loved the Spa and if you do need to pay, it’s definitely worth it. I also enjoy doing yoga in the morning. Breakfast was delightful with a good quality selection. Antonio was particularly helpful when we checked in after a delayed flight, made us feel so welcome and relaxed straight away. The hotel ias mentioned is very well run and with all the little details covered to make your stay even more wonderful. We will definitely be back and highly recommend. The hotel puts other so-called five star luxury hotels to shame as this is what we should expect. Thank you.

La Zambra presents itself as a luxury retreat, but beneath the polished exterior lies a poorly managed operation that fails to meet five-star expectations. Understaffing leads to slow, inconsistent service, making even basic requests a challenge. Breakfast, while decent, is overshadowed by frantic staff more focused on flipping tables than providing attentive service. The issue isn’t the employees—they’re clearly overworked—but the lack of strong leadership and organization. Nowhere is this mismanagement more obvious than in the hotel’s handling of private events. Large portions of the property are reserved for exclusive groups, leaving paying guests sidelined. Meanwhile, details that should reflect a luxury experience fall short—hasty repairs, subpar upkeep, and a general lack of refinement. Rather than a seamless five-star escape, La Zambra operates with the disorganization of a struggling hotel. During my stay, I interacted with a manager, Félix Córdoba, whose approach perfectly reflected the hotel’s larger issues. His handling of concerns was dismissive and unprofessional, adding to an already frustrating experience. His attitude was just another example of the broader culture of mismanagement at La Zambra—where expectations are set high but rarely met. For those looking for a true five-star stay in Málaga, look elsewhere—La Zambra simply doesn’t deliver.

If you want to give your self an amazing treat - this the place. It is amazing to stay in a hotel where every wish you ask for - the staff just make it happens. With a smile and a positive attitude. We had a suite with view to the pools and golf course. Lovely suite and sitting on the balcony watching the sunset. Wauvvvv. We had room service one time. And the menu card could be better. Very standard. The breakfast buffet. It is amazing. Absolutely one of the best breakfast buffets we have experienced. The spa and water circuit is a nice place to relax. The staff at the front desks are extremely helpful. Will we come back. Absolutely.

Luxury place , worth of every penny. Payed attention at very small detail. We went at spa& massage. It was very relaxing. All in all was not very expensive. Massage was the best I ever had. Personal is very friendly. I don't find any negative thing. Highly recommend!

Hôtel magnifique hyper accueillant pour les enfants, chambre superbe et literie ultra confortable. Personnel adorable et aux petits soins, plusieurs restaurants différents, propreté au top. L’hôtel est vraiment superbe avec un grand charme comparé à ce qu’on peut voir sur la côte. C’était notre premier voyage avec notre fille de 2 ans, et l’accueil pour les enfants était au delà de nos attentes (plein de cadeaux pour eux offerts par l’hôtel, chaises hautes dans tous les restaurants, coloriage lorsqu’ils sont à table, piscine intérieure…) On reviendra!

Property is absolutely beautiful and service is very good. Staff assisted us on many matters. Even after we checked out and ran into some issues with local rental car company, due to language barriers, we reached out to La Zambra for help and they tried their best. It is conveniently located in the middle, Malaga to the east, Marbella to the west and Ronda to the North. Mijas is 20 minutes drive up the hills.

Very nice, very comfortable bed, very quiet at night. Lovely character with the interesting architecture and courtyards. However, for some people it might be too quiet and it's away from any outside bars, restaurants, activities, apart from golf courses. Nice pool area, looking over pristine golf course and mountains. I only ate breakfast here. I thought it might have been better, for cooked food and hot food section. Coffee was very poor. Staff very friendly and attentive. Nightime was relaxing, sitting outside balcony bar, but, for some, this might be too quiet for a holiday. Ideal for a good rest and relaxtion. Only problem for good R&R was that there are charges to even to use the steam-room only.
