Grande Beach Resort

We loved the location with a room overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. We were in a "Family" room with five adults which was a little crowded but comfortable all in all. The breakfast plan was unique with an agreement between the hotel and the restaurant in the building. The breakfast was great -- one of the best we had in our 17 day "Road Trip"

The toilet and bath area was very small with the sink and mirror outside of it and no way to close off the larger area to change clothing, etc.

I called to make sure I could bring my emotional support animal they told me all I need to have was her registration once I got there it was confusion with her being an emotional support animal and not a service animal so I had to find her someone to stay at the last minute...very unorganized

The breakfast and bar drinks was the best thing about to property.

The first room 303 we were assigned to smelled bad upon arrival and the room was hot. The mattress felt like a water bed, the microwave has a big dent on the side and the living room light was very dim. The ac unit was frozen (as to why the room was hot and not cooling) and instead of the front desk person sending maintenance right away to fix it or offer to move us to another room she stated she would send maintenance once he finished what he was doing on the 7th floor. We waiting 20 plus minutes then I called asking can someone come now cause we had dinner reservations we need to make. I then asked to move to another room and the General Manager stated that one of the two maintenance guys was at the desk and he would talk to him to see. A few minutes later the maintenance guy came back to the room and that’s when we were moved to room 204. No compensation or anything was given until I mentioned it to the Front Desk Manager at check out which we were given free breakfast vouchers that we used right away before we left. Long story short we will never stay here again. A overpriced hotel not worth it.

We had a fantastic experience, and the staff were absolutely delightful. It was also our 27th anniversary, which made it even more special.
