"The kitchenette only contains a mini fridge and microwave, there is a sink but no dish soap, no sponge and no dishwasher"

The bedding was very comfortable, the room size is comfortable for two people.

High floor with elevator, only three rooms in each floor.

Area is not bad, just not as nice as downtown. Room is much larger than others I have stayed in the area (Manhattan & Queens). Hotel is 2 blocks from N, W subway line or 5 blocks from 7 line (15 min from Midtown). All three lines stop at the Queensboro Plaza so you can change trains or walk. Cost/accessibility to downtown is very reasonable.
