Our stay here was really nice. This location was convenient to all of our NYC tourist attractions while giving us a ‘home away from home’ feel in its charming design aesthetics. This is not the typical hotel in terms of amenities with dining/room-service but that did not detract from the experience, with local deliveries and a corner deli that was walkable. We also really appreciated the friendly staff and no fuss vibes around housekeeping or any needs we had while our family of 3 and dogs settled in for our vacation. I would stay here again and encourage anyone reading this who is looking for a more quaint hotel experience to check out the Modernist Hotel in Long Island City on your next trip to New York.

"Really nice rooms, cute boutique"

Really cute room decor. Noise isn’t insulated from above and neighbors very well, but that’s my only real issue. Otherwise, very friendly staff and can’t say enough about the modern room design. Location is also good, close to 39th Avenue N/W station.

Convenient for visiting friends/family in Astoria, 15-minute walk to train line into Manhattan. Neighborhood is not scenic but it's safe. Staff was efficient and responsive.

Great stay, Sophie at the front desk was extremely helpful. This place has great views of Manhattan and a clean deli 20 steps away. Parking was available on the same street & I had no issues. Would definitely recommend going!
