Zulu Surf Hotel

We stayed in Zulu for 3 nights doing some biz meetings & we surfed every morning longboard sessions on the high tide,so cool to be 10 min walk from the surf and the middle of Tamarindo town.Rooms we Super clean staff were friendly & excellent Coffee shop downstairs. Thanks Amigos will be back Pura Vida!

Amazing place to stay!! Was welcomed by Roxy in the reciption. All interaction with the hotel team was very pleasent. Hotel is well located with in 5 min walks to the beach and everything else with in short Distance. Also the food market hall adjacent is plus.

Ideal location

Stayed here as a solo female traveller. The hotel is clean and neat. The a/c in the room was really nice. The location is super convenient. Right in the middle of town so I could walk pretty much anywhere I wanted to go. The beach is right across the street. The only thing I would say is that it can get extremely noisy at night since you’re right in the middle of the town and the popular nightlife spots. Especially on the weekends. Felt safe overall though

I’m very low key but like clean! The hotel is not huge but in my opinion it was just right. My first room had a leaking air conditioner unit behind the wall so they moved me rooms! Luckily it was the next room. The staff is amazing!! They were very helpful and bilingual which helps. The rooms were clean, the bathroom was fine and the shower was spacious. The rooms don’t have closets but they have shelves. My first room didn’t have any where to hang clothes and the second one did. Towels are clean and I was able to book tours through them. They can help with transportation from airport to hotel and back. It’s about an hour and a half drive from Liberia airport so expect to pay a good chunk. The “ Mercadito “ is literally around the corner and there are other eatery places near. You can shop, eat, drink, and walk to the beach!! I traveled by myself and I felt safe. I honestly don’t even want to share this hidden gem!! I’d keep it to myself. Camila was a gem!!! Thank you and hope to come back!♥️

Location

The deluxe room that I had booked (as no other rooms were available anymore) was very nicely furnished and the location of the hotel was very central (close to the beach, many shops and restaurants). I also enjoyed the breakfast at Sol Bakery (25% discount for hotel guests). Unfortunately, the central location also came with a lot of noise at night (nightclubs nearby), which is why I woke up several times. For those staying out late and planning to sleep in, you'll probably hear the trucks passing by under your window from early in the morning...

The hotel is located across the street from several bars with live music, which is nice. Except if you're trying to sleep it's so loud and sounds like they are playing in your room. Not to mention all the noise from the ATVs roaring up and down the street all night. It was not the best way to end of vacation in Costa Rica.

Very recommended. Close to the beach and has a cute bakery down stairs that has amazing food and pastry’s. The staff was excellent and kind. Cute hotel to stay at for a few nights. I don’t have anything negative to say, it’s also pretty quiet at night.
