Grapetree Bay Hotel & Villas

Gorgeous hotel. Very kind and friendly staff. Everyone was super helpful and nice. The only thing that we didn’t like was the beach was not swimming friendly. We knew that before hand but still wished there was private beach access or any beach access directly at the hotel. Otherwise it was gorgeous.

Grapetree Bay Hotel & Villas is a beautiful, quiet and relaxing place to stay. The double queen room is exactly as pictured, roomy and clean, the beds were comfortable. The balcony was also large and relaxing when sitting and admiring the awesome view of the sea and multitude of stars at night. The hotel is in a remote location, so renting a car to navigate would be of a benefit, the roads are well maintained (a jeep is not necessary). The staff are quite friendly and accommodating. The housekeeping service is every three days and the breakfast options are limited to four choices. However, it worked for my party. They are still working to repair the villas, it is a work in progress, but it does not interfere with the hotel area. Would definitely return, it is a true diamond in the rough.

This hotel is an absolutely perfect place to stay on St. Croix. It has everything you’re looking for, if you’re looking for incredible oceanfront views, clean comfortable rooms, excellent service, and delicious food from not one but two restaurants onsite. Sitting by the salt water pool, perfectly crafted cocktail in hand, listening to not only the waves crashing, but also the incredible live music from the poolside bar, our only wish was that we never had to leave!

Our family stayed at this lovely resort. The rooms are updated and have plenty of room for a family with two teenagers! Though the resort does not have a beachfront that is swimmable, it has so much more to offer! A short 20-minute hike from the resort led us to essentially a private beach Horseshoe Bay. I highly recommend! We loved the breakfast every morning. We didn't really eat much other than that at the resort because we were exploring the island. We rented a car and went to a different beach every day. The resort is quiet and relaxing. The pool is the perfect size. This is your place to go if you want a relaxing, quiet resort. The location is perfect! It only takes about 45 minutes to drive from on side of the island to the other.

THE PROPERTY IS UNDER RENOVATIONS ON PART OF THE RESORT, AFTER 40 YEARS OF BEING IDLE. THE HISTORY AND THE THE PEOPLE WERE FANTASTIC

Great stay and the staff was the best.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice entertainment. Enjoyed my stay and the scenery in the area. Breakfast and dinner was good. Seems like the still doing some maintenance.

Sort of off the beaten path but, this is what we like. Facilities are great & they are working to expand some of the past damaged rooms. The chefs & restaurants are top notch.
