Candlewick Inn

The room was updated and nice, the bed was comfortable for me, my husband not to much it was too hard for him. The location was good as well.

The staff. We had our 9 month old with us and we booked so we could use the pool. As soon as we got into the pool we were told to leave bc of the baby. She had swimming diapers on. The woman staff that told us to leave had her two kids there and I’m 100% she was told her kids can use the pool as long as paying customers weren’t using it. She had an attitude from the second we stepped inside the gate where the pool was. The second issue is that where was a couple there smoking and it was blowing directly into our room. I have asthma and it triggered me. I texted the management and nothing was done. The staff just seemed to be in a bad mood all the way around. My baby did nothing wrong and we were being responsible by putting in swimmers and being with her. It was her first time in a pool too and she was so excited. The only way to communicate with management is via text which is good and bad. Good bc they aren’t up your butt but bad bc you basically have to fend for yourself if you need anything. There were no coffee cups in the room, yet coffee machine and coffee were provided, not a lot of towels and the bed linens were thin. Major pot holes in the parking lot.

They were great and understood that we had a family emergency and had to cut our trip short. Room was very clean and newly renovated. Area was great!

The hotel room itself was nice. The decor was nice, the bed was comfortable. My husband didn’t like how noisy the AC was but I’m ADHD and I need noise to be able to sleep. I put out the sign for maid service and the maid never came so I had to find her to request more towels. It was in the cheaper end of the hotels around. We had a room that had a connecting room and I could hear everything going on in the connecting room when I was trying to sleep. 4/10

Outside of hotel is very dirty and run down. The pictures online do not match. The woman working the front counter was extremely rude. We requested a full refund and stayed at another hotel. The property manager was very kind and understanding.

I didn't like that there wasn't enough staff to access the pool. For some reason, there were a lot of flies in our room

We were on bikes and the staff was very hospitable offering rags to wipe our bikes down when we needed them or just anything we needed a bike parking area for them would be a huge improvement there weee several places to eat within walking distance

Very clean and modern!!

He encountered probably four people during our time there and there was one nice young man who helped with a plumbing issue and one nice lady who came to make sure our second attempt at a code on the door worked. Other than that, the ONLY plus was there was decent water pressure and they use real Folgers coffee

Where to begin… it took three separate code attempts to get a code to the door to work, when we finally got into the room, we got all unpacked turn the air conditioner on left went to dinner come back from dinner to watch TV and the TV did not work. When we called to ask for someone to come and fix it mind you this was not even 9 o’clock, he said someone would fix it tomorrow. what? When I said that was not satisfactory they told us we could move rooms so we had to repack everything and move down the hall to the end then we get into that room and there was a dirty T-shirt in the corner of the room from the previous guest disgusting. The rest of the room was cleaned by appearances decently but how do you miss a T-shirt? There was also some thing on the bedspread/comforter so we did not use that and there’s no other blankets in the room that we could find just the sheet The pool on the website says it is heated, but it is NOT so be warned. It was so cold. They do have a lot of cameras for Security,It’s probably the only way you can get someone to answer your call quickly because there’s no one in the office. And the beds are so rocksolid. You literally feel like you are sleeping on a rock. The first thing I did when I returned home was book an appointment with a chiropractor. I stayed at a less expensive hotel in Eureka. I think it was called Heritage or something two weeks earlier much nicer people always in the office comfortable room just as nice. Better pool, five dollars more and so worth it!!! we are going back to stay in two weeks and it will be at that other motel again.

The fact that the pool was closed at 430pm when I checked in. The only reason I picked this location. Still waiting on my second day refund. I checked out at 430am. Moved locations with a working pool.
