Hotel Ulysses, a Member of Design Hotels

What a unique cool hotel. Loved our room. Was walkable to the Lyric Theatre and the Inner Harbor although a tiny bit of a hike there, but doable. No parking at the hotel but a small self-pay lot very close by.

Everything smells great. The staff is very helpful. You feel like you're in a movie, the details are all so well thought-out.

The room was really small. Much smaller than anything shown on the images. We also noted that our stay was for our wedding night. It would have been nice for the staff to acknowledge this (this touch would have been nice and no worries that it wasn’t done - perhaps future guests will appreciate the gesture).

I flew from Texas to explore Baltimore for the first time and to stay at Ulysses Hotel. Working at Midnight Rambler at the Joule years ago made me fall in love with boutique hotels with unique cocktail lounges. Ulysses & Bloom’s did not disappoint. The staff were quite friendly and lovely. A special shout out to Hannah at Bloom’s. Attentive, friendly, and I watched her move like a shark through an evening, Saturday night crowd. A soft swim around the bar with ease and grace making sure everyone had what they needed with a wave of intention. And Na, (currently a new hire at Ash-Bar) was hospitable and friendly. Making me feel at home and at ease while having my first cup of coffee at the bar. I hope to return again. If you’re looking for a unique stay at a property that is well curated and leaves you feeling inspired— Ulysses is for you. I hope they get more blue tote bags in. I would love a takeaway from staying on the property.

Comfortable, gracious hotel with eclectic decor. Nice quiet, dark room. Great walk/in shower. I would stay here again.

Very friendly staff, lovely boutique hotel, we always come back! This was the third time, we returned. On a mondaynight, it was a lot quieter, but we did have a table in the busy Coral Wig with our local friends without any problem. Delicious cocktails, cosy bar, great place to visit as well! Not a single second, did we hear the sounds of the city. I love the references to Baltimore's John Waters movies colors and the flamingo's so well done, an interior decorator went all out (on Flamingo's, Cry Baby with Johnny Depp). We were in walking distance to some quaint coffee bars, like Baby's on Fire, and the Owl bar in the Belvedere for dinner. Lovely Brewers Art for Belgian style beers. Love seeing the neighborhood to slowly grow back after the pandemic. Love the scents of the soaps and in the hotel lobby. Just a jewel, smack in the middle of midtown!

My stay at the Hotel Ulysses was a pleasurable and personal experience. I chose the hotel because of its name. Ulysses was my grandfather’s name and like my grandfather the hotel was warm and friendly. The hotel’s ambiance was very relaxing and that feeling extended from the reception desk all the way to my room. The hotel offered dining choices that suited my needs exceptionally well. The bed was comfortable and the shower was very soothing. The location of the hotel was near everywhere I needed to be. I have truly found a hotel in Baltimore that I will choose every time I need to be in the city.
