Stansted Airport Guest Rooms

Tbh we didn’t like anything about the property!

When we first walked in we saw the key was broken and we tried calling the owner and the owner did not pick up. We went to the neighbours and they called and they picked up and they did not pick up our call. We talked to them and they said that we broke the key which we did not! There was no hot and no heating there is lots of smell in the house. water and over all we will not be staying again. Room bed sheet with dog hair I will suggest to no one can go this property.

Beds were ok. Resident that lived there was very helpful he was the one that showed me where things were this was the only way I found out where we had been put. He also provided us with beverages and an extra heater.

Was not put in rooms I booked had to swap with family as very little heating in family room and we had a one year old staying with us. Family room extremely cold. No tea coffee sugar etc available. Kitchen a complete mess even after cleaner been in. No hot water. Bathroom upstairs was discusting.

When We arrived, We got the key from the outside box as regular. Upon making it to the room, We were met with the cold wet stench of soggy carpet, proven by the leaking ceiling. The bed underneath was also wet, forcing my 7 year old daughter to sleep with me and her dad. My other daughter, 16, tried to turn the lights on to see that the light bulb was literally missing, leaving exposed wires hanging from the ceiling. I'm pretty sure that's a liability. About 15 minutes into our stay, another family walks into our room. We get told that they overbooked. This family,including what looked to be a girl problem around 4 years old, out to look for different accommodations. 7 we called the owner of this "hotel", she never answered and left a different inhabitant to talk to us, her friend. On the floor, there was an iron shape burned into the carpet. We presume someone was so cold it was their last resort, because the hotel didn't use central heating of any sort which left us in -4⁰c temperatures for a few hours. It was so cold I wouldn't even let a dog sleep in that room. Don't let the pictures fool you. Even in the kitchen, the door to the oven was shattered. we drove 3 hours to get to stansted airport and chose this hotel to have a moments rest before our 6am flight,but in the end it was a waste of time, nerves and money. Before long it got so unbearably cold, we just got up and went to the airport Early.

Leak in the ceiling, dripping all night, paster coming away on ceiling. Extremely cold room no heating

Location

It was awful. The door handle fell off when I tried to open the door. Luckily it had 2 locks. No signs so I had no idea if we were able to use the kitchen. Bathroom was dirty - sink blocked up and toilet seat not attached so my daughter hurt herself when sitting on it. There was a leak from the roof all night so I could hear a drip drip all night which has damaged my clothes that were underneath. There were people in the kitchen being very loud until very late and we had an early start. The premier inn near by was actually £2 cheaper. I almost packed us up and moved but I was travelling alone with three small children so wasn’t an option.

Nothing

Everything was soooo dirty , floor hasn’t been vacuumed for years! Bedding’s smelled bad, one towel for 3 people! No light in room and poor bads really low quality! Could hardly sleep because the cats and dogs were walking around ! Owner of house will cook in 2 am making noise . I do recommend booking to get inspection because this shouldn’t be on market at all !

Leaving the room.

We had no Power, no heating, no communication with staff to help us sort the power. The location of the room was changed last minute. Only two blankets for four people and very little toilet paper.
