The Oak & Anchor Hotel

Die Zimmer sind groß und ausgezeichnet ausgestattet. Ja, die Toilette ist im Zimmer und es ist etwas befremdlich, jedoch haben wir die Toilette im Restaurant benutzt und somit war das kein Problem für uns. Das Persona ist sehr zuvorkommend, das Restaurant sind sehr gut. Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen.

Bar area very different from accommodation areas bit too rustic.

Beautifully restored hotel - we had the bridal suite which was absolutely stunning and comfortable. Loved the large bathroom and balcony! Also really enjoyed the live music on both evenings in the garden. And very nice from the team to have warned us well in advance that there will be live music! Will certainly be back!!!

Only thing is the 10am check out time which I find unreasonably early and an issue as it requires rushing out of the place in the morning. Pls consider changing to 11am!

The location is great. The furniture new and modern.

The suite has no separation at all from the toilet and bathroom to the bedroom. So your partner participates unfiltered whatever you do on toilet. Sometimes a little privacy would be appreciated. A clear fail from the architect or interior designer. The bar is located directly under the rooms, live music might keep you up till late at night . No elevator so make sure you can carry your luggage up the stairs. Not senior friendly…

Very stylish and comfortable room. Lovely staff. Great bar and dining room. We really enjoyed that we could get dessert a drink an tea at close to 10p at night. Not many places in tiny towns are open late.

No reception area separate from bar. Breakfast was at another place and that was a bit chaotic.

Cotton bed linen, lovely room, spa like feeling to.room with spa.quality.toiltrirs, breakfast, port fairy is a.lovely.place

My husband wasn't comfortable about the open nature of the toilet in the room...

Breakfast was cold - adequate but uninspiring. Dinner in the restaurant was good. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The rooms were completely open plan including the lavatory - which was less than appealing nor was there even an extractor fan. Sleeping near the toilet is a great way to spend the night!!
