Sandford Meadow Guest House

The room was spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. Lovely property in beautiful surroundings. Richard our host was welcoming and looked after us very well.

We loved staying with our hosts who were so engaging and helpful. We left the car behind to walk the 5 mins to the bus stop to get the bus to Oxford one day, and drove another day to the nearby Park & Ride. Wonderful breakfast and great hosts. Lovely and quiet home with a shared bathroom but the bedroom had plenty of room for us. We would stay here again.

Dark lane made it difficult to return alone in the dark

I chose not to have breakfast prepared by the host, therefore, I can not comment on it. However, I loved the guest house and I even told the host about it. On arrival I felt very well received by him, a very warm welcome which was extended through out my stay there. The house was quiet and peaceful, and also perfect for a non-smoker like me.

The sound of the trains. But this is personal as I was looking for quiet and peace.

Very clean, well presented house and room. Everything available one might need. Secure parking for vehicles. Out of town but very reliable bus service with a bus stop close to house. Bathroom shared with all other guests was large and clean. Owner very helpful and welcoming.

Should be aware location very close to railway line so train noise should be expected - especially if windows open for fresh air. Breakfast pleasant but nothing special, eggs were only cooked element but cooked to order and fresh bread good.

Beautiful house in the Oxford countryside. The house was very nice , the room comfy and cozy, the bathroom very clean, the bed extremely comfy, the owner answered all my questions and gave me every possible tip to reach the house and having a pleasant staying. The house is also close to a pub, to a beautiful footpath and to the bus station. Thanks to it, it is very easy to get to Oxford with just a 2 pounds ticket. I highly recommend this place for visiting Oxford and surroundings.
