We spent 1 week at the Cantera 1910 Hotel and everything was excellent ! It was a great location with an amazing staff. Kudos to the front desk and restaurant staff for helping me organize all of our events inside and outside of San Miguel Allende. Excellent Hotel !!

"Beautiful hotel, terrible guest service manager"

Beautiful hotel turned into an unpleasant experience because of the guest service manager, Liliana Contreras. She is very rude and attempts to charge several extra fees without prior notice claiming it's protocol and "hotel policy" but has no written proof. It appears she tries to scam guests because she demands only cash payments for things such as housekeeper's tips and massages. She was very dishonest, allowing a guest to use a room for a makeup trial and then making up a fee that wasn't regulated anywhere in the written norms they make you sign upon arrival.

Stayed 3 night at this property in SMA. Excellent stay. Breakfast was good. Room was great although maybe a bit tight. The hot water needs to run for a minute or two before it reaches the room. The room as super quiet and the property was a oasis in SMA. SMA was very memorable and visually stunning. Great stay.
