Ace Hotel Toronto

Great location. The area is very walkable, lots of restaurants and shops within a 15 min walk, and the area was lively and felt safe at night. The atmosphere is amazing at Ace. The lobby was hosting live music throughout the week, people visit the lobby for food and drinks, and the decor of the place is nice. The rooms are nice and clean. The bathtubs are super comfortable. The soap is abundant and good quality. The service is really good and well suited for the way I travel. The pre-check in and pre-check out process meant I didn't have to interact with the hotel staff much; however, the staff was very attentive and friendly whenever I did interact with them. The room was good value for me. I appreciate convenience and cleanliness more than I do free breakfast and coffee. + Room regularly and thoroughly cleaned + Check in and check out took less than a minute to do in person. + Walkable area with lots of restaurants in the area + Staff was quick to respond to requests - No free coffee/breakfast - Local snacks available for sale in the room. Note: I'm not a fan of being advertised to while in the room, but Ace displayed the products in a non-intrusive way so it was easy to ignore for those who are not interested in buying. The noise is the only reason why I cannot give the Ace Hotel Toronto a full score. The neighbouring guest was extremely disruptive; yelling at each other, playing guitar and singing at 4am, and having obnoxiously loud sex. Anytime a complaint was made, the front desk person would immediately come up and ask the disruptive guest to quiet down. However, the disruptive guest would become loud again after an hour or so later. After three days of meetings being disrupted (I work remotely and would work in the room), not being able to sleep, and just overall awkwardness of having to listen to the guest have sex all day (a couple hours in the afternoon, all night, and another hour or so in the morning). I requested the front desk to move me to a different room, but the front desk advised that the disruptive guest will be checking out in the morning and that the problem should resolve itself. The disruptive guest must have extended their stay by a day, because I was in for another night/day of interrupted sleep. My stay at the Ace was only ok (3/5) this time around, but the location and value is worth coming back (overall 4/5). The only piece of advice I have for anyone staying at the Ace is to report problems early and be firm on getting problems resolved. The staff is very amicable, so it is very easy to not want to be a bother and let the problems slide.

Couldn’t manage to connect to the wifi

Lovely east Asian styled hotel. I was upgraded to a suite and the room was amazingly spacious despite being compact. The soaker bathtub was SO deep, which was lovely. The shower was huge too. Over all it was a great experience, well located, comfortable, and I would stay here again. Shout out to the staff for being friendly and kind!

I had an amazing stay at this hotel, right in one of Toronto’s best neighborhoods! Everything was absolutely perfect—the stylish lobby, cozy café, a fantastic rooftop terrace bar and a great bedroom. But the highlight was the outstanding service from Michaela and Ema at the front desk. I will definitely book this place again!

Amazing, cool, and super hip. The hotel front desk staff is really awesome and so helpful. Emma made sure our stay was the best ever. We came a for wedding with our family and we had a blast. I highly recommend the lobby bar and restaurant. Thank you Emma and ACE hotel.
