Absolutely everything was stunning, we felt so relaxed here we really didn’t want to leave ! The staff are all lovely , helpful and fun, the staff in the restaurant ( waiting and chef) are so knowledgeable about food and the health benefits. We had great fun trying to guess the flavour of the sorbet every evening ! The food was amazing - a limited menu which changed every evening - you could have the delicious Sri Lankan curries or the western option. The room was stunning - plenty of space , a very comfortable bed and the perfect shower - and a huge bath tub! The grounds were beautiful and very well kept - lots of opportunities to see animals ( black face langurs, chameleons, all kinds of birds etc) . There is a lake about 150m away where if you are very lucky you will see elephants at sunrise/sunset. The pool was a beautiful refreshing interlude to the day - a good size with nice seating around it.

There was nothing I would change

The hotel is discreetly set back from the main road and is set in peaceful grounds. It is centrally located to visit sites and at dusk we took a boat ride on the lake where we saw herds of elephants on the bank. The food was exceptional but a special mention for the staff who were excellent.

A perfectly tranquil place where the staff were all so kind and warm and the restaurant is wonderful. Hotel helped arrange a boat trip around the lake at back of property where we saw endless birds and a herd of elephants!

Top architectural style and well thought of design of rooms and premises.

Mosquitos… but burners and sprays are well provided

We truly had a great time at Taru villas. Huge thanks to all the staff who took care of us so well. The food was incredible and we spoke to the chef every meal, he's like an uncle to us.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Exceptional hospitality, with very clean and spacious rooms featuring an open bathroom concept. The staff is incredibly helpful, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Every request is fulfilled, and the food is absolutely delicious and fantastic. I would definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Everything was perfect, beautiful accommodation, excellent service, amazing food. I didn't want to leave, it felt like being in paradise.

This property is absolutely stunning. We had a wonderful 4 night stay and weee treated like we were the only guests there. Nothing was too much trouble. We organised all our trips through the hotel and had a wonderful time. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
