Hampton Inn by Hilton Port Hope Cobourg

- Excellent location just off the 401 into Port Hope - Nice Breakfast included, and provided many hot and cold options. - Seating in breakfast area was cozy, comfortable, and offered many seating arrangements….from table and chairs, to booths, to island seating. - plenty of towels/facecloths that were very white, clean and soft. - Nightlight in the bathroom was a pleasant surprise, enabling visits to the bathroom at night without having to be blinded by turning on the bright overhead lights! - in the bathroom there were receptacles on the wall filled with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion.

- upon arrival at the property, there was garbage strewn about in front of the building…..either coming from the overflowing garbage bin, or perhaps from a guest who did not dispose of their food and drink containers and serviettes in a proper manner. - the first room assigned to us did not have clean sheets and pillowcases. Several long hairs were found upon inspection. - the dead bolt on the door was not engaging with the door frame, and thus the door could not be locked from inside the room. - in the second room assigned, we found a long black hair in the shower base. Also, there were smears down the shower glass, appearing as if a dirty rag was used to wipe the glass down after previous guests. - there is no closet to hang clothes, just a set of three wall hooks, of which one hook was missing.

Price for quality was too high. Toilette is too low a profile for seniors Air control was noisy or non existent

A typical Hampton inn. Breakfast was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The room was a little run down. Looked like our bathroom mirror had mold on the frame and the AC in our room was leaking. Also our safety lock on our door was broken.

Best is the location

Was no cleaning service in the room , you have to request the cleaning in your room, and we stayed 3 days ,so we had no towels , or empty garbage, or a clean room for 3 days ..... And its says in the room, every other day of your stay is the cleaning, but nobody cleaned ,even doh we see the cleaning ladies . And than we get the information when we checked out ,the cleaning it's only on request, which I never heard about it before.

Breakfest

Room. Drug use in hotel. Bathroom common areas.

They allow pets there which is fine. However, allowing a large dog around the food area at breakfast is not appreciated and I believe would not be allowed by public health.
