Golden Sands Carolina Beach Oceanfront, Tapestry by Hilton

I never stay on this side. I like the far side building and rooms better. Renovation was going on when we were there

The room seemed smaller. It was still nice.

After check in, the concierge texting was amazing. This was our second time staying at Golden Sands. We find the staff to be very pleasant always. We stayed on the 5th floor ocean side and the Maid service was above top notch. She was pleasant and went above and beyond with our minimal requests.

While we are sympathetic to the hotel being under renovations, there were no signs stating where to check in and it was confusing. We like the atmosphere but feel the upgrades to the hotel are not at the level of a Hilton Tapestry. While taking a shower, the shower head fell off -we are handy and put it back on. The bathroom vanity counter appeared new but the caulking all around the edge was gringy and not the expected level of a Hilton. The towels were very worn and some were stained badly -we were able to get replacements from the friendly maid service. We are Hilton members and our expectations are high because, historically that is the level of service we have received.
