The Kings Park Grand

Chose this hotel because of the closeness to US Consulate. Bad decision. This is an aged hotel which has not been maintained well. The air smells of cigarette smoke. The photos uploaded on hotels.com are misleading. The sheets and towels are old. The hotel staff give a rat’s ass about anything. The buffet breakfast lacks luster.

The property is really good for the price. And it’s very close to American visa application centre.

I went with my family and we stayed here for 2 days. I got a very spacious room which had one master bedroom with a kings bed, one kids room with 2 beds, 2 bathrooms and one common area with sofa and fridge. Rooms were very clean. Additional bonus was TV had Amazon prime included. US embassy is also in walking distance making it one of the best hotels to stay for US embassy interviewees. Cons: 1) Although room food menu was very good and had lots of items but due to some unknown reason Resturant menu did not have much verity, only had some speciality items. 2) Breakfast was included in my stay but items were very limited. 3) There was no play area for kids. Overall my stay was satisfactory and I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Every thing was good

There was no AC working around receiption area . It is always hot in Chennai. Lifts looks old and suffocated. My room was not having any wardrobe which i did not expect. Not so good experience and will not like to book again if i am paying 4k for one night.

Staff service were really slow in terms of room service.

The hotel is mediocre. The rooms are fairly good size and bathrooms are spacious. But the maintenance of the hotel is horrible. I had to change rooms two times as the first room was stinking and the second room was very uncomfortable. The third room was fairly ok. Housekeeping was poorly managed with linens and towels thread bare and not so fresh. The wallpapers were peeling off and elevators were smelling. In room dining service was atrocious, as the wait staff was untrained, did not provide condiments and plates for soup bowls. The food was ok, but served poorly. Even the housekeeping did not provide amenities unless you asked for it. You only got some service if you tipped the waiters. The hotel management is worse. At the breakfast buffet the hotel staff were busy eating out of the buffet and there was no food for the hotel guests. Since the hotel has international guests they should have staff that speak some English. Yet all they spoke was Tamil and was very rude to the guests. Even the guy at the front office. A nice hotel that needs better management and service.

The hotel is in a Convenient location. Breakfast was scrumptious. Room amenities could be better

It is fairly good. Location wise it was good.

The water is cold and internet is bad
