Bardstown Motor Lodge

We loved the retro decor! Bed was comfortable and the pillows wonderful. Only challenge with the room was lack of sufficient outlets for charging phones, watches etc It is an easy walk to the Main Street with shops, cafes and also walked to the Civil War museums and village. There is a restaurant with bar next door so we walked there for food and drinks and had a great experience. After dinner we sat in the Adirondack chairs around the fire, visiting with folks from Missouri. It was a thoroughly enjoyable stay and we would return and highly recommended!

It's clear they are trying to update the property, and the room itself was nicely decorated with comfortable beds and a nice little workspace. Take advantage of the deal for the restaurant on the same property — had a great meal there.

Still in need of some updates: self-check in didn't work, the windows are painted shut.

The place was clean. Service was great, very friendly. We stayed 3 nights and took advantage of the evening fire rings on the patio. They even had s'more kits for your enjoyment. It is very close to down town 5 minute drive. The on site upscale restaurant was very good and offered 50% of wine and appetizers. Food was wonderful. We did not take advantage of the game room, but they have several board games you could play. The pool looked good but it was too cold in march to swim. I would stay there again the next time i sm traveling in the aera. Recently renovated.

Great retro motel. Loved the vibe and furnishings. Clean and well appointed. Comfortable bed. Large screen tv. Courtyard and fire pits were a nice touch! We enjoyed making the provided smores at the end of the night. Woman who checked us in was very nice and helpful. Good location close to town. We weren't able to use the pool in March but it looked very nice! We would stay again for sure!

I'll be honest, when we first pulled up to the lodge, I was concerned that we had been duped because the exterior is old and took me aback; however, when we walked into the room I was delighted. The room was immaculate (except for one small spot behind the bathroom sink. They let us check in early. The room amenities were all we could have needed, plenty of light, super comfy bed and pillows, hot water on demand. I wish we would have had the opportunity to use the courtyard and the pool.

The TV wouldnt work for us and during the day when there is plenty of traffic on the road that our window faced it was a bit loud but it all quieted down by bed time. They are very leanly staffed so our call went unanswered but the gal who was there called us back right away.
