The Vanguard - York Residence

Easy check in with lots of information provided and good communication with the wonders just a message away. Comfortable room with everything we needed, very clean.

Excellent place to stay very convenient for york city centre (20 minute walk). Toomm was clean and well presented. The owners keep you informed of the check in procedure which was very easy to follow and straightforward.

A nice room

Staying at the vanguard was brilliant. We stayed for 2 nights, checking in was super easy, everything was sent on one email which was easy to understand. We got to drop our luggage off before check in time free of charge so we could explore York easier and this was very helpful and a big plus. The room was cosy with fresh sheets and towels in the room. The air con system was simple to work out and there was also a coffee machine in the room too, with complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and water in the mini fridge. The bathroom was very modern, with a powerful shower that was hot straight away. They also had shampoo, shower gel, conditioner and hairdryer which is also a positive. Moving onto the staff, they are very accommodating. I had got in touch by phone and message a few times before our stay and during, which they responded to very quickly and politely. They checked on us throughout our stay and they couldn’t have done any more. I would highly recommend staying here, it was perfect.

The property is in a terraced residential area about 15 minutes walk from the centre of York. Parking is on the road in a permit reserved space next to the property. Inside the property is lovely - almost 2 separate rooms plus bathroom which is all modern, spacious & very clean. Plenty of teas, coffee & bottled water. 2 nice big screen TVs & loads of plugs / charging points. Lots of good WA communication from the owners…..

Comfortable stop over for the evening & easy walk in to the town.

This is a really nice place to rest after walking around York. The rooms are cosy and clean and the shower was brilliant. Only 10-15 minutes walk to all the good stuff in York
