Hotel Square Macedonia

On the 6th floor you're above the city noise but still close to it. The rooms are OK and the staff correct. There are no views to square Macedonia from the rooms, but you can see it from the central room. It's a good choice.

We arrived very late, ( past midnight) and tired after long journey. It was kind a hard to find it,and I know Skopje well and speak the lingo, still I had to ask twice for directions! The hotel is top of an business building and as afterthought addition. For what is given to play to owner done his best. The hotel is bit tired around the edges but for what we paid right on the Square overlooking the Statue of Alexander the Great and everything on your doorstep, we couldn't do better! The common room has excellent overview of the Macedonia Square, the river Vardar and the Old Stone bridge. For a woman travelling with kids very handy. The airport shuttle drops you very close by ( only 5 min walk) and is lively and full of PLL thus secure to walk at night. The romm itself ( we had 602) was big with 3 beds, very clean ( tired at the edges)but very cony, very clean and crisp bedding, all the amenities, like safe box, hair drier, TV ( with lots of channels) I specifically liked the beds, they weren't that hard! On my travels around Europe I discovered preference for hard mattresses. The bathroom vas very clean abet oldish and nothing to complain. Believe me I stayed in worse places in San Francisco and paid way too much, than here . I will recommend stay at this place whole hardy bit hard to find but non the less worth what we paid.
