Zlata Ladjica Boutique Hotel – Heavenly in Every Way Ljubljana’s most magical stay ….. truly! This incredible boutique hotel sits right on the river, flanked by the city’s best restaurants and wine bars, with the castle watching over from above. Everything you could want to see is within a five-minute stroll. From the moment we arrived, every detail was handled with thought and care - from the valet-style parking and luggage pickup to the home-made treats tucked around every corner. The breakfast was next level .. fresh, local, homemade and unforgettable. The team have two passions: storytelling and quality. Together, they’ve created a hotel that feels alive, authentic and thoroughly indulgent. We borrowed the free bikes, explored the city, and loved every minute. We were only there 24 hours but were welcomed as friends and left feeling like family. The staff ARE NEXT LEVEL. Beautiful, courteous, friendly people. Absolute gems. Truly heavenly. If you want a rich, luxurious and full Ljubljana immersion …..don’t waste your time anywhere else. We’ll be back!

Absolutely nothing

This hotel is fantastic, it's a story telling hotel that prides itself on it's sustainability practices which are actually innovative and considered. The hotel is located in the pedestrian-only zone of Ljubljana, which makes it perfect for exploring the prettiest capital in the EU. Your first meeting with the team will likely be when they come to meet you at a nearby dropoff point and walk you the short journey to the hotel - a really helpful touch which will soon become a familiar pattern of being friendly and helpful. The hotels rooms are all unique and tell a story about the one of the buildings past lives or about the city itself, we were in the pipers room which was large, spotlessly clean and had views of the castle. Special mention goes to the incredible water pressure in the shower, "rainfall shower" doesnt quite cover it - it was more like standing under a waterfall! Also adored the quick filling bath perched beside the window where i could watch the city life go by from above. I would encourage you to eat at least one night in the hotels restaurant, the menu was considered, exciting and delicious and the tomato tartar remains one of the most memorable dishes of my entire holiday. Breakfast is also incredibly generous and you will not go hungry, starting with a smorgosboard of fruit, cold cuts and cheeses (all locally sourced) followed by a hot dish of your choosing. Every single member of the team that we met was smiling, engaging and funny! Even those we didn't get to meet impressed us, by the time we'd come back from breakfast, our room would refreshed - beds made, towels organised and room tidied - very impressive. This would be my number one hotel reccomendation to anyone travelling to Ljublana, you won't regret it.

My wife and I stayed here for one night while visiting Ljubljana. The hotel is located right on the river walk in the heart of the action. Gret service, great food and a cozy room. We could not have asked for more.

Prior to its transformation into boutique hotel, this was a drinking haunt for university students. The extensive craft beer list honours this history and we enjoyed exploring by both beer and wines by the glass, with their knowledgeable soms. Tariff is high, rooms are compact, but the service is excellent - feels like a handcrafted, personable experience centered around a comfortable rest and great food in the heart of Old town Ljubljana.

Don’t hesitate to book this hotel. Fabulous location, fabulous staff, and fabulous breakfast. Room I had was not large but was well appointed. Would absolutely stay here again if I were in Ljublana again.

It might be be a Golden Ship but a DIAMOND in Ljubljana ( Lube-BLI-Yana...J's are Y's:-) An absolute perfect location at the cobblers bridge ( NOTE, no cars allowed in this area but they are quick to get you at a designated location and park your car) when you visit this friendly city. Updated in past 6 years and CLEAN with all the amenities. STAFF is perfect in every way. Gregor is concierge and accommodated several guides for our visit ( local tour of the city + Bled/Bohin day) and Ushka ( Sorry for the Misspelling) is front desk and VERY eager to make sure all is good. But all were jumping to help in every way. Dinner was great with one of the best Venison loins ever experienced. Perfect breakfast offering ( Marko is a. hoot) with plenty of options. Room 34 was updated, with a small balcony and table to enjoy the old town and river. A strong suggestion ( sorry, forgot the name of this room) Don't walk but ROW hard to get here.
