Lovely location, cozy pub vibe. Great food! Comfy bed and nice sized room.

Only small issue was the drainage in shower. Water was getting out into the bathroom.

Nice pub with a great restaurant- would rate it very highly. Lovely bedroom - very well furnished - nice surprise in a small pub.

Room was very clean and bed was comfortable, all room facilities were good. Staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. Food was "nouvelle cuisine" and tasty, although expensive. Only had one evening meal there.

Room was over priced, but it was a treat for us on this occasion. TV- can't get standard channels, only subscribe to "streaming" available, OK if you are tech savvy! Menus were very limited, with small portions and over priced. A bit pretentious for a pub, be aware, not regular pub fayre. Give the Chef/Owner his due, this 5-star high end dining is great, if it was in a big city, but a bit out of place in a sleepy village in the countryside. We had to eat elsewhere for a decent meal option. Wine extremely expensive and no Bitter ales on tap. No decent Vodka, just "trendy" options. Breakfast not available until 09:30 am. Disappointed that they allow dogs into the Restaurant area, very unhygienic and not appreciated (smelly dog, with the couple eating next to us, slobbering over itself). Public bar is where that should have been.

The location was very good for where we wanted to be. Unfortunately we were unable to have an evening meal as we arrived Sunday after 6pm and meals were only served to 5pm on a Sunday. However when we checked in we were asked if we needed anything for the room. The room was small but well furnished and we found the bed to be comfortable. All furnishings were modern including the bathroom. The breakfast menu was very good with plenty of options available and the presentation and quality of the food was excellent. We would like to return again to stay and enjoy an evening meal.

Checked in at 3pm and The bar and no food served closed at 5.30 , so was no refreshments or food all day or night, so we had to drink water all day and night.with no food There is no live TV to watch only streamed programmes, no signal for alot of the night,with nothing to drink but water,we were bored a d unhappy,couldn't wait for morning Then in the morning we were locked out the property until 9.30 until can get in to order breakfast. I feel that's far to late to even start to.order breakfast, so we were served at 9.50 after 20 mins wait...breakfast was on cold plates and minimal size, it would of fed a 5 yr old. The home made black pudding was a peice half the size of my little finger and half a mushroom each. No offer of toast ,we left and was starving, it was so small would eat in 7 mouthfuls . I went to the toilet before left and 1 out of 3 toilet was clean,hard dried poo on 2,and the floors were dirty I made a line with my trainers to see the dirt. It was dirty in our room.dirt on headboard, and not bin cleaned for weeks behind bathroom door,and the radiator was dirty from half way down

Quality furnishings , quite room , comfortable bed and pillows. Delicious breakfast.

No meals on a Sunday after 3 , the main reason we booked was for the dining experience. Incorrect information on website s one states 5pm the other 9pm . £114 a night £ 30 extra for breakfast.
