Overall, this place was a great base camp for my day hike up Mt Whitney. The service was excellent, the room was exactly as expected for the money and even had a fridge, and it was close to restaurants/groceries. Highly recommend for someone looking for a well priced room prior to anything in the Whitney Portal!

The room was clean and the bed covers were very comfortable.

The desk service rang my charge up on my credit card wrong ($515 instead of $151). The service person had to get the manager to fix it by giving me a credit. It appears that the $515 charge was on my card immediately. The credit did not appear until two days later. Then at 3 a.m. and again at 3:45 a.m., a couple visiting/staying in one of the rooms nearby were standing outside talking and laughing very loudly and waking several other guests up. No one from the motel was around to oversee it and ask them to quiet it down. Woke several of us up twice. Also, the room did not offer any bottled water and did not include any breakfast. I had stayed a few days before at a Days Inn in Ridgecrest where the price was $108 for one night, they included water AND breakfast, and had a pool and spa, all included in the price. Don't plan on staying at Lone Pine Budget Inn again.

Although there was a slight language barrier, all of the information needed, was given quickly and easily found. It’s not a fancy room, but very comfortable and spacious room. I particularly like that all the rooms are on ground floor, with a parking space right in front of the door.
