Bank Ground Farm

Lovely welcoming, comfortable and relaxing accommodation in a characterful historic farmhouse building. Wonderful breakfast - we had the 'posh porridge' with honey and walnuts, and the veggie cooked breakfast, both of which were really excellent. The tea shop's fruit scones are not to be missed! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and there was a really relaxed, 'make yourself at home' feel about the place. We had a very comfortable room with dual aspect windows - unbroken views across Coniston Water to Coniston Old Man and down the lake too. Beautiful garden grounds and terrific location, a short walk from Brantwood too.

being 6'3" the bed was a bit small, Small point but some of the pot holes leading down to the farm need sorting?

Wrong time of the year ... the muck spreading had just been done which attracts a huge number of flies ...

Perfect location, with private access to the lake, relaxed atmosphere, great breakfasts, fresh milk available for tea/coffee in our room, friendly, helpful staff, beautiful garden.
