The Snug Townhouse

Do NOT stay here if you want to sleep before 2am. The rooms were so so loud from the street music up until 2am both nights. We even moved rooms once and could still not sleep. This is a bare bones hotel you’re staying 100% for location only if you’re into drinking and bars. Tried to get out of our stay due to the noise but they wouldn’t let us cancel. Avoid this hotel.

The room was really clean and new feeling. Staff was great! Check in was easy. However, the room is small and the TV didn't work. Overall a great spot for a 1 or 2 night stay.

What a little gem this hotel is. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were so happy to be in the heart of the Latin quarter. It was noisy as hell, but they gave us ear plugs so we slept very well!

Crazy convenient, and well run with helpful folks at the desk at all hours. The room was tiny, but they made good use of the space. Warning: if you're sleeping with a partner, there was only one way in and out of our bed, so if somebody needs to get up in the middle of the night, it wouldn't be ideal. I don’t know whether other rooms are like that.

Overall good and clean.

The Snug offers a “pod” for sleeping - contemporary decor, clean and central to pedestrian centre. Slightly awkward sharing space, logistics had to be considered!! Staff very helpful, no breakfast so comparatively expendive.

Great place to stay. It's right on the main drag street with tons of restaurants and outdoor seating. We even had a room with windows on the side with the street and we didn't have a hard time sleeping! We were shocked!

This property is adorable with wonderful, welcoming staff. It's in a busy, vibrant area right in the thick of things in Galway (but they give you ear plugs 😉). Note: bring your USB plug; there are no ports in the rooms. Other than that, perfect.
